Apportionment of Representation on the Cambridge Electric-power Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of April, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following provisions for apportionment of representation on the Cambridge Electric-power Board of the area comprised within the Cambridge Electric-power District (hereinafter called “the said district”):

  1. The Orders in Council referred to in the First Schedule hereto are hereby revoked.
  2. The constituent districts which are bracketed together in the First Column of the Second Schedule hereto are hereby constituted a combined district for the purposes of the said Act.
  3. The local authority of the constituent district distinguished in the First Column of the Second Schedule hereto by the letter “p” is hereby declared to be the principal local authority of the combined district in which that constituent district is included.
  4. The number of representatives of each constituent district or combined district on the Board of the said district shall be the number specified in the Second Column of the Second Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district or combined district.
  5. The said revocation and the provisions hereby made respectively shall take effect on and from the eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section sixteen of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, an election of the representatives of certain constituent districts of the Cambridge Electric-power District on the Cambridge Electric-power Board requires to be held on the eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine;
