(39.) Catering-material.

  1. Catering-material such as cutlery, crockery, silverware, table-tops, trestles, marquees, baths, tea-urns, tablecloths, tea-towels, glassware, basins, boilers, and other incidentals to be used exclusively for catering will, in respect to all journeys made by rail, be charged the Class “ A ” rate less 12½ per cent., provided a certificate in the following form, signed by the consignor in each case, is endorsed on the consignment-note :—

    I hereby certify that the catering-material entered hereon is being forwarded from __ to __, and will be [has been] used exclusively for catering purposes at the [Insert name of event].

  2. The Department may decline to extend the benefit of this regulation to any person who uses other means of transport than the railway for the carriage of catering-material when the railway is available for the transport of such material.

By omitting the following :—

Butter and cheese from Motumaoho to Auckland or Southdown will be charged 34s. 2d. per ton.

Butter and cheese from Morrinsville to Auckland or Southdown will be charged 34s. 2d. per ton.
