Vesting a Reserve in the Auckland City Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of January, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for recreation purposes: And whereas it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the twenty-sixth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland in trust for recreation purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods 37·9 perches, more or less, being portion of Section 112, Waipareira Parish, bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on a public road, being the south-western corner of Lot 41 on D.P. 21508; on the north-east by the southern boundary of Lot 41 aforesaid and Lot 2 on D.P. 17236, 1374·2 links bearing 128° 27′; thence on the south-east by the western boundary of Lot 2 aforesaid, 617·1 links bearing 219° 3′; thence on the south-west by portion of Section 112, Waipareira Parish, and a further portion of Section 112 aforesaid, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1905, page 1455, 1427·6 links bearing 330° 6′ to the aforementioned public road; thence on the west by that public road, 100·0 links bearing 14° 5′ to the point of commencement: As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 2/551, and deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, and thereon edged green. Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £62,500 by the Invercargill Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of January, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Invercargill Borough Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) proposes, pursuant to a requisition issued by the Board of Health under the Health Act, 1920, to raise the sum of sixty-two thousand five hundred pounds by a loan to be known as “South Area Water and Sewerage Loan, 1929,” for the purpose of installing a water-supply and street reticulation of main pipes, and sewerage installation of sewers for the area, now part of the Borough of Invercargill, described in Order in Council dated the thirteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, Gazette No. 87, including outfall sewer for existing sewerage-tanks:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan up to the amount of sixty-two thousand five hundred pounds for a term of twenty years, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds ten shillings per centum per annum, subject to the condition that the said local authority shall, before borrowing the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and by making to such sinking fund payments at intervals of not more than one year, at a rate or rates which shall be not less than the rate of one pound per centum, such payments to be made in respect of every part of the said sum for the time being so borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment to be made not later than one year after the first day from which interest to the lender is computed on any moneys so borrowed, and subject to the further condition that no portion of interest or sinking fund shall be paid out of loan-money.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £1,400 by the Devonport Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of January, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Devonport Borough Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) proposes, pursuant to a requisition issued by the Board of Health under the Health Act, 1920, to raise the sum of one thousand four hundred pounds, by a loan to be known as “Refuse Destructor Loan, 1928,” for the purpose of meeting a portion of the Council’s share of the cost of providing a refuse destructor:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan up to the amount of one thousand four hundred pounds for a term of fifteen years, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds ten shillings per centum per annum, subject to the condition that the said local authority shall, before borrowing the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and by making to such sinking fund payments at intervals of not more than one year, at a rate or rates which shall be not less than the rate of four pounds twelve shillings and sixpence per centum, such payments to be made in respect of every part of the said sum for the time being so borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment to be made not later than one year after the first day from which interest to the lender is computed on any moneys so borrowed, and subject to the further condition that no portion of interest or sinking fund shall be paid out of loan-moneys.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £600 by the Masterton Fire Board, and prescribing Term and Rate of Interest.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of January, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Masterton Fire Board (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) is desirous of raising the sum of six hundred pounds for the purpose of redeeming portion of a loan of seven hundred pounds maturing on the tenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, by a loan to be known as “Superintendent’s Residence Loan, 1929”:

And whereas the said local authority has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council under the said Act should be given to the raising of the said loan on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth:

And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by section one hundred and fourteen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, to the borrowing by the said local authority of the said loan for the term hereinafter mentioned, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate hereinafter mentioned:
