Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of March, 1929.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienation of the Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

Regulations under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, amended.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of March, 1929.

The RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon him by the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, and its amendments, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the regulations under the said Act dated the tenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and published in the Gazette of the thirteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare that the amendments hereby made shall take effect as from the eighteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine.
SCHEDULE.
THE regulations hereinbefore referred to are hereby amended as follows:—
- Regulation 66 is hereby amended by deleting the word “Provided” where it first appears in paragraph (3) and substituting therefor the following:—
“Provided that in any special case authorized by the Minister each assessor appointed to a Conciliation Council in accordance with section 58 of the said Act shall be paid a travelling-allowance at the rate of 12s. 6d. for each day that he is necessarily absent from his home while engaged at a sitting of the Council or in travelling to and from any other place of sitting : Provided further”. - Regulation 68 is hereby amended by deleting the word “Provided” in paragraph (2) and substituting therefor the following:—
“Provided that in any special case authorized by the Minister, each assessor appointed to a Conciliation Council in accordance with section 58 of the said Act shall be paid a fee of one guinea for each day that he is engaged in travelling to and from any other place of sitting: Provided further”.

Revocation of Order in Council prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of March, 1929.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that any Order in Council made under that section may at any time by varied or revoked:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council referred to in the Schedule hereto:
SCHEDULE.
ORDER IN COUNCIL under section 363 of the Native Land Act, 1909, dated the 9th day of November, 1928, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 22nd November, 1928, affecting Mataikona No. 1A 1 and other subdivisions.

The Eastern Side of Portion of Victoria Road, and the Western Side of Portion of Victoria Crescent, in the City of Nelson, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of March, 1929.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Nelson City Council on the thirtieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, viz.:—
“ That the Nelson City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Nelson, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to those portions of the streets known as Victoria Road and Victoria Crescent adjoining part of Section 1181, City of Nelson, as shown on the plan annexed to this resolution and coloured red between the points A, B, and C ”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the eastern side of the portion of Victoria Road nor the western side of the portion of Victoria Crescent (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portions of streets.
SCHEDULE.
THE eastern side of all that portion of street situated in the Nelson Land District, City of Nelson, known as Victoria Road, fronting part Section 1181.
Also the western side of all that portion of street situated in the said land district and city, known as Victoria Crescent, fronting part Section 1181.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 74479, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
