by Mrs. L. V. Fulcher; the eastern, southern, and western
boundaries of the said 100 acres to the boundary of Block
IX, Ngatimaru Survey District; thence along the eastern,
southern, and western boundaries of part Section 22 (325
acres, and 21, 20, 19, to the southern boundary of the northern
half of Section 1 of Block IX, Ngatimaru Survey District;
thence westerly to the boundary of Block XII, Huiroa Survey
District; thence westerly along the boundary of Block XII
to the starting-point; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a
correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Strat-
ford County Council.

NOTICE is hereby given of a meeting of the shareholders

to carry on business in New Zealand.

The business has been acquired by LEWIS BERGER AND
SONS (N.Z.), LIMITED, which latter company has recently
been incorporated in New Zealand, and has acquired the assets
and assumed the liabilities of the former company, and will
continue to carry on the business of Makers and Vendors
of Paints and Varnishes and allied business at Hope Gibbons
Buildings, Courtenay Place, Wellington, and elsewhere
throughout New Zealand.

All debts due to and claims against Lewis Berger and Sons
(Australia), Limited, should be respectively paid to or made
against Lewis Berger and Sons (N.Z.), Limited, at the above
address.

BAY OF PLENTY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Bay
of Plenty Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of fourteen thousand pounds (£14,000),
authorized by a resolution of the Bay of Plenty Electric-
power Board, passed on the 17th day of January, 1929, and
an Order in Council of the 17th day of December, 1928, to
be raised by the Bay of Plenty Electric-power Board under
the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, being a supplementary
loan pursuant to section 19 of the said Act to the loan of one
hundred and seventy thousand pounds (£170,000), authorized
by a poll of ratepayers taken on the 3rd day of July, 1926,
for the following purposes:—

(a) For supplying and distributing electric energy to and
for the benefit of the Bay of Plenty Electric-power
District, to establish, acquire, and carry out within
such district aforesaid the following works and under-
takings, namely—The erection of generating-works,
the construction of transmission and distributing
lines and substations, the purchase and erection of
all necessary equipment, motors, works, plants,
machinery, apparatus, motor-vehicles and convey-
ances, materials, lands, rights, and buildings, office
furnishings, fittings, and requisites, and purchase of
existing electrical installations, reticulations, and
plants, and to provide for the cost of survey and other
preliminary works and expenses of administration,
advertising, and any expenses incurred in connection
with and preliminary to the constitution of the
district, and for the repayment of any moneys
advanced to the Board by any local authority in
accordance with the provisions of section 66 of the
Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and generally to
exercise its rights and powers as may be deemed
expedient by the Board under the authority of the
Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and its amend-
ments: £140,000.

(b) To provide money to install electrical service lines and
other equipment for consumers within the Opotiki
and Whakatane Counties and the Opotiki Borough,
and to provide money to purchase electrical and other
equipment to sell to consumers within the said counties
and borough: £30,000.

The Bay of Plenty Electric-power Board hereby makes and
levies a special rate of one quarter (¼) of a penny in the pound
upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property of the Bay of Plenty Electric-
power District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be pay-
able yearly on the 20th day of July in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-
six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of such
resolution as appearing in the minute-book of the Bay of
Plenty Electric-power Board, made on 17th January, 1929.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto
carried on by us under the style of “Silvester and
Co.” has, by mutual agreement, been dissolved as from the
28th day of February, 1929. The business has been taken
over and will be carried on at the same address by Mr. L. B.
WENDELBORN.
