Further extending Time for taking Vote on Proposal to adopt the System of Rating on the Unimproved Value in Waitemata County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of February, 1929.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section forty of the Rating Act, 1925 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), on the eighteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, a demand was made on the Chairman of the Waitemata County Council that a proposal to adopt the system of rating on the basis of the unimproved value be submitted to the votes of the ratepayers of the Waitemata County (hereinafter referred to as “the said votes”):
And whereas the said votes were not taken on a day being not less than twenty-one nor more than twenty-eight clear days after the delivery of such demand: And whereas by Order in Council dated the nineteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, and gazetted on the same day, the time for taking the said votes was extended until and including Friday, the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine:
And whereas the said votes have not been taken on a day within the time so extended:
And whereas it is expedient to extend further the time for taking the said votes:
Now, therefore, in order that the intent and purpose of the said Act may have effect, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section ninety-nine of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby further extend the time for taking the said votes, until and including Wednesday, the sixth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, in like manner as if the said sixth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, were the twenty-eighth day referred to in section forty of the said Act.
