  1. That the amount of all moneys paid on account of estates under administration during the half-year ended 31st October, 1928, is £330,310 2s. 1d.

  2. That the amount of the balance held to the credit of estates under administration during the half-year ended 31st October, 1928, is £55,769 18s. 10d.

  3. That the liabilities of the company on the 1st day of November last were debts owing to sundry persons by the company, viz.: On judgment, nil; on specialty, nil; on notes or bills, nil; on simple contracts, £91,598 14s. 11d.; on estimated liabilities, nil.

  4. That the assets of the company on that date were: Government securities, £10,350; other securities, £112,902 12s. 4d.; bills of exchange and promissory notes, nil; cash at bankers and on deposit, £10,080 5s. 5d.

And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

In the matter of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908, and in the matter of the KAIKOURA FISHERMEN’S ASSOCIATION, INCORPORATED (in liquidation).

THE creditors of the above-named incorporated society are required, on or before the 14th day of January, 1929, to send their names and addresses and the particulars of their debts or claims and the names and addresses of their solicitors (if any) to ARTHUR WILLIAM WATTERS, the Official Liquidator of the said incorporated society, at the Government Buildings, Christchurch; and, if so required by notice in writing by the said Official Liquidator, are by their solicitors to come in and prove their said debts or claims at the Registrar’s Office in the Supreme Court House, Christchurch, at such time as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved. Friday, the 1st day of February, 1929, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, at the Registrar’s office, is appointed for hearing and adjudicating upon the debts and claims.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, and their amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, for street purposes at Chaytor Street, in the City of Wellington—and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so require to be taken is deposited in the Public Office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, in the Town Hall, Cuba street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, held at Hamilton on the 19th day of November, the following special resolution was passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said company, held at Hamilton on the 13th day of December, the said resolution was duly confirmed, viz:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that GEORGE HERBERT CHESTERMAN, the secretary of the company, be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”
