NOTICE is hereby given that by an extraordinary resolution of shareholders of the Mangonui Newspaper Co., Ltd., duly passed on the 3rd day of December, 1928, it was resolved—
“ That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the shareholders that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that JACK THOMSON DAWSON, of Kaitaia, be, and he is hereby, appointed Liquidator for such winding-up.”

THE Partnership heretofore existing between the undersigned ERNEST GEORGE NEWSON and HENRY FOLEY, of Wellington, Plasterers, under the style of “Newson and Foley,” has been dissolved. All moneys owing to the Partnership are to be paid to the above-named Ernest George Newson, whose address is 82 Rodrigo Road, Melrose, Wellington.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.
——
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers therein enabling it, the Auckland City Council doth hereby resolve as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the loan of £28,000, being 10 per cent. of loan of £280,000 authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council in 1924 under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of providing additional plant, accessories, and buildings for, and further extension and development of the Auckland City Tramways, the loan to be known as “the Auckland City Consolidated Supplementary Loan, 1928,” the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifth (1/5th) of one penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.
——
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers therein enabling it, the Auckland City Council doth hereby resolve as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the relief of unemployment by undertaking (1) Formation of sports-ground at Western Springs Area ; (2) roading of Lake Waiatarua Reserve; the loan to be known as “The Relief of Unemployment Loan, 1928,” the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth (1/12th) of one penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-three years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of N.Z. PLATINUM, LTD.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting held on 16th October the following special resolution was passed, and confirmed 31st October, 1928.
“ That the company go into voluntary liquidation, and that JOHN MACFARLANE ELLIFFE, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator.”
Creditors of the above-named company are required on or before the 30th day of January, 1929, to send their names, addresses, and particulars of their debts or claims to the Liquidator, and if so required, by notice in writing, are to come in and prove their debts or claims, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefits of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the VACUUM CELL INSULATING CO., LTD., duly convened and held at the registered Office, Little Queen Street, Auckland, on the 28th November, 1928, the following special resolution was passed, and at an extraordinary general meeting duly convened and held on the 13th December, 1928, duly confirmed :—
“ That the company be wound up voluntarily within the meaning of the Companies Act of 1908, and that Miss E. DAVIES, of Auckland, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the company.”
