Revoking Order in Council licensing the Dargaville Rowing Club to use and occupy Part of the Foreshore and Land below Low-water Mark on the Kaihu Creek, Northern Wairoa River, Kaipara Harbour, as a Site for a Slipway.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of December, 1928.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the sixth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 30 of the thirteenth day of the same month, the Dargaville Rowing Club, of Dargaville (who, with its successors and assigns is hereinafter called “the licensee”), was licensed to use and occupy part of the foreshore below low-water mark on the Kaihu Creek, Northern Wairoa River, Kaipara Harbour, as a site for a slipway :

And whereas the said licensee has ceased to exist, and it is desirable to revoke the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Harbours Act, 1923, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council of the sixth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, as from the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.

Vesting a Reserve in the Ashburton County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of December, 1928.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for plantation purposes:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ashburton:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section four of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ashburton, in trust, for plantation purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 17 acres 2 roods 15 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 4204 (formerly Rural Section No. 28537), situated in Block III, Hinds Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by the Hinds-Winslow Road, 3039 links; towards the south-east by Reserve 1781, 2759 links; and again towards the south-west by Rural Section No. 20827, 1275·5 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L and S. 22/3306B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Special Provision with respect to Deer in Portion of Westland Acclimatization District.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921-22 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend the Warrant under the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said Warrant”) dated the eighth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and gazetted on the fifteenth day of the same month, declaring deer to cease to be imported game in portions of various acclimatization districts, by deleting from the said Warrant all that area in the Westland Acclimatization District, described in the Schedule thereto (hereinafter referred to as “the said area”):

And I do hereby further declare that deer shall be deemed to be included in the Second Schedule of the said Act with respect to the said area:

And I do hereby further declare that this Warrant shall come into force on the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, and shall expire on the thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, and that from and after the last-mentioned date deer shall cease to be included in the Second Schedule of the said Act with respect to the said area.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in the North Auckland Land District.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a road reserve, being a purpose within Class II of the Second Schedule of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908:

And whereas it is expedient that such land should be appropriated for recreation purposes, being a purpose within Class III of the said Second Schedule:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the eleventh section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, do by this notification declare that the said land shall, from and after the twelfth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, be appropriated for recreation purposes under Class III of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908; and I do hereby direct that this notification shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Howick Town District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 9 perches, more or less, being Lot 17, Section 9, of small farms near Howick. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/870, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. North Auckland, plan 24863.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 15th day of December, 1928.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for a site for a public hall, being a purpose within Class I of the Second Schedule of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908:

And whereas it is expedient that such land should be appropriated for recreation purposes, being a purpose within Class III of the said Second Schedule:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the eleventh section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, do by this notification declare that the said land shall, from and after the twelfth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, be appropriated for recreation purposes under Class III of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908; and I do hereby direct that this notification shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette.
