Approving an Amendment to the Scheme of Examination under the New Zealand Institute of Horticulture Act, 1927.—Notice No. Ag. 2765.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of December, 1928.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the New Zealand Institute of Horticulture Act, 1927 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the amendment submitted in accordance with section four of the said Act by the New Zealand Institute of Horticulture, and set forth in the Schedule hereto, to the scheme of examination for the granting of certificates and diplomas under the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said scheme”); approved by Order in Council made on the tenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and published in the Gazette on the fifteenth day of the same month at page 701.
SCHEDULE.
GROUP B of the said scheme is hereby amended by inserting after subparagraph (c) thereof the following additional provision:—
(d) What examination or examinations, not including the Professional Examination, may be waived.

Regulations under the Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1908, amended in respect of Fees payable.—Notice No. Ag. 2763.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of December, 1928.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and two, and published in the Gazette on the same day at page 1221, regulations (hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”)
under the Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), were made prescribing, inter alia, the fees payable in respect of stock slaughtered in an abattoir or meat-export slaughterhouse:
And whereas by Order in Council made on the twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the Gazette on the twenty-second day of the same month at page 3389 (hereinafter referred to as “the amending Order in Council”), the principal regulations were amended in respect of the fees payable as aforesaid to the extent and in the manner therein set forth:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to make further provision with respect to the fees payable as aforesaid to the extent and in the manner hereinafter provided:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act and of all other powers in that behalf enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby further amend the principal regulations and the amending Order in Council to the extent and in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the date of the publication thereof in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
- SUBCLAUSE (1) of clause 19 of the principal regulations, as replaced by clause 1 of the Schedule to the amending Order in Council enacted in substitution therefor, is hereby revoked, and the following subclause substituted in lieu thereof:—
“(1) In addition to the foregoing fees there shall be payable in respect of stock slaughtered in an abattoir or meat-export slaughterhouse the inspection-fees following, that is to say,—
For every head of cattle .. .. .. 6 Pence.
For every head of calves not exceeding 100 lb., dressed weight .. .. .. 1
For every head of calves exceeding 100 lb. and not exceeding 200 lb., dressed weight .. .. .. 2
For every head of calves exceeding 200 lb., dressed weight .. .. .. 6
For every head of swine .. .. .. 2
For every twelve (or fraction of twelve) sheep and/or lambs .. .. .. 5
Provided that the inspection-fees payable under this clause shall not be less than £10 in any month during which the Inspector was employed.”
- Clause 1 of the Schedule to the amending Order in Council is hereby revoked.
