tained to the satisfaction of the Board or of the Inspector
approved by the Board for that purpose.
With the consent of the owner of any premises so connected
such cost may be commuted for the payment of such annual
sum as may be agreed upon between the Board and such
owner.
57. SCALE OF FEES FOR INSPECTIONS OF BUILDINGS UNDER
SECTION 71 OF ACT.
The fee to be paid by the owner or occupier of any buildings
for inspection of such buildings under the provisions of
section 71 of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, shall be according
to the following scale:-
Building to seat not more than two hundred per- s. d.
sons ... ... ... 5 0
Building to seat more than two hundred but not
more than three hundred persons ... 7 6
Building to seat more than three hundred persons 10 0
The owner or occupier of any such building shall be severally
liable for the payment of the proper fees according to the
above scale.
58. The charge for services of members of the brigade at
theatres, music halls, and the like shall be for each member
3s. 4d. for each performance, not more than two firemen
allowed for each theatre.
59. PAYMENT OF FEES.
All fees payable under these by-laws shall be payable to
the Secretary of the Board on demand.

at Point Lonsdale was altered on the 1st October, 1928.

Position : On west side of entrance to Port Phillip.
Lat. 38° 17½' S., long. 144° 37' E., on Chart No. 2747.
Description : A diaphone fog-signal apparatus has been
established giving two blasts every thirty seconds, thus : Blast,
1¼ secs. ; silence, 3 secs. ; blast, 1½ secs. ; silence, 24 secs.

Character : Flashing white every second, thus-Flash,
0·1 sec.; eclipse, 0·9 sec.
Elevation : 10 ft. (3m0).
Visibility : 7 miles.
Remarks : The light will be exhibited on and after 30th
November, 1928, and will be unwatched.
