Declaring that certain Works have been executed for the Purpose of altering or diverting the Oreti River, in the Southland County, and that the said River shall be further altered or diverted.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and eighty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the works executed by the Southland County Council to alter or divert the Oreti River affecting the land firstly described in the Schedule hereto have been so executed for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned, and such works shall for all purposes be taken and deemed to have been executed under the authority of the Public Works Act, 1908; and I do further declare that the said river shall be further altered or diverted within the area of land secondly described in the Schedule hereto.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in Hamilton Survey District, described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
