I further direct that you cause the nominations for the said member to be received at the office of the Native Land Purchase Officer, Government Buildings, Auckland, not later than noon on the 29th day of October, 1928, and, in the event of the election being contested, that the poll shall be taken on the 13th day of November, 1928.

You are further required to endorse on this writ the name of the person so elected, and to return the writ to me on or before the 4th day of December, 1928.

IN pursuance of section 186 of the Electoral Act, 1927, I hereby authorize and require you to proceed, according to law, to the election of a member of Parliament to serve in the House of Representatives for the Eastern Maori Electoral District.

I further direct that you cause the nominations for the said member to be received at the Registrar's Office, Native Land Court, Gisborne, not later than noon on the 29th day of October, 1928, and, in the event of the election being contested, that the poll shall be taken on the 13th day of November, 1928.

You are further required to endorse on this writ the name of the person so elected, and to return the writ to me on or before the 4th day of December, 1928.
