OTOROHANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Waipa River Road Special-rating Area.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Otorohanga County Council resolves as follows:-

That, for the purpose of proving the interest and other charges on a loan of Β£600, authorized to be raised by the Otorohanga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of widening and metalling the left bank of the Waipa River Road from end of present metalling at west boundary of Section Rangitoto No. 33B 2, Block X, Mangarongo Survey District, to its junction with the Waimahora Road along frontage of Rangitoto A 45B 2B, Block XV, Mangaorongo Survey District, the said Otorohanga County Council makes and levies a special rate of one half-penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Waipa River Road Special-rating Area as described in the Schedule hereto, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen years, or such shorter period as may be determined by the Council, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE SCHEDULE HEREINBEFORE MENTIONED.

All that land situated in the Mangaorongo and Pakaumanu Survey Districts, commencing at the north-west corner of Rangitoto A No. 42B, Mangaorongo Survey District; thence southwards along the western boundary of the said section Rangitoto A No. 42B; thence continuing in the same direction, bisecting Section 12, Block X, to its southern boundary; thence north-easterly to a road; thence following that road to the north-west corner of Section 4, Block XI; thence westward to the north-east corner of Section 6, Block XI; thence westward to the north-east corner of Section 6, Block XIV; thence southwards along the western boundary of Sections A 45B 1B and A 45B 2B, Block XV, to the north-east corner of Section 7, Block XV; thence along the north and western boundaries of the said Section 7, Block XV, Mangaorongo Survey District, the southern boundary of the western portion of Rangitoto A No. 38; thence along the Otorohanga County boundary to the south-west corner of Section 2, Block VIII; thence along the southern boundaries

of Sections 2, 3, and Rangitoto A 29B, and eastern boundary of Rangitoto A 29B; thence by a continuation of the boundary to the stream bounding Rangitoto A No. 25B; thence following that stream northerly to the north-east corner of Rangitoto A 25B; thence westwards along the northern boundary of the said Section Rangitoto A 25B to a stream; thence north-easterly across Rangitoto A No. 27B so as to exclude 500 acres of the said Section A Rangitoto No. 27B, and joining Section A 26B at a point about half way along its western boundary; thence north along the eastern boundary of Rangitoto A No. 27B to the south-west corner of Section A No. 20; thence along the south, east, and north boundaries of the said Section A No. 20 to the road bounding Section 12, Block IX, Mangaorongo Survey District, along that road and the north-west boundary of the said section, the north-east and north-west boundaries of Section 13, Block XII, Mangaorongo Survey District, the north-east and west boundaries of Section 12; thence along the north boundary of Section 2, the east, north, and west boundaries of Section 1, Block XVI; thence along a road to the eastern boundaries of Rangitoto A No. 46B; thence north to the north-east corner of the said Section Rangitoto A No. 46B; thence along the north boundary of the said Section Rangitoto A No. 46B; thence north along the eastern boundaries of Section A 45B 2B and Section 4, Block XI, to a joint on the eastern boundary of Rangitoto A No. 60, where it joins the north-west corner of Rangitoto A 47; thence due west across the said Section Rangitoto A No. 60 to the Waipa River; thence along the east and north boundaries of Section 11, the east and north boundaries of Rangitoto A No. 42B to the point of commencement.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1918, and its amendments, and in the matter of SHEPHERDS LIMITED.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened and held at New Plymouth on the 30th day of July, 1928, the following resolution was duly passed:-

"That it having been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the company, that the company be accordingly wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. J. S. PATON be appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up."
