PURSUANT to the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908, the following names of Officiating Ministers within the meaning of the said Act are published for general information:—
The Church of the Province of New Zealand commonly called The Church of England.
The Reverend Herbert Oliver Brickland.
The Methodist Church of New Zealand.
The Reverend Hubert Granville Brown.

The Rural Intermediate Credit Act, 1927.
APPOINTMENT OF DISTRICT INTERMEDIATE CREDIT SUPERVISOR AND CHAIRMAN OF DISTRICT BOARD.
IT is hereby notified for public information that the Rural Intermediate Credit Board, acting in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon it by section 14 of the Rural Intermediate Credit Act, 1927, and of all other powers and authorities it in that behalf enabling, has appointed
David O’Donoghue,
District Public Trustee, Whangarei, to be District Intermediate Credit Supervisor for the North Auckland Rural Intermediate Credit District in succession to Allan Marshall.
And it is further notified that the Rural Intermediate Credit Board, acting in pursuance and exercise of the power conferred on it by paragraph 10 of the regulations made under the said Act and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 22nd day of December, 1927, and of all other powers it in that behalf enabling, has appointed the said David O’Donoghue to be Chairman of the North Auckland District Rural Intermediate Credit Board in succession to the said Allan Marshall.
Both the foregoing appointments take effect as from the 14th day of August, 1928.

Medicines permitted to be made with Methylated Spirit.
Customs Department,
Wellington, 8th August, 1928.
WITH reference to section 290 of the Customs Act, 1913, which provides that, save so far as is otherwise provided by regulations made under that Act, every person is guilty of an offence who uses methylated spirit as an ingredient in any perfume, toilet preparation, flavouring-essence, or tincture, or in any medicine (whether for internal or external application), or who sells any such article knowing the same to contain methylated spirit, it is hereby notified for public information that the medicines enumerated hereunder are articles approved for manufacture with methylated spirit without pyridine under paragraph (c) (i) of clause 120 of the Customs Regulations made under the said Act:—
Linimentum aconiti,
Linimentum belladonnae,
Linimentum camphoræ ammoniatum,
Linimentum capsici,
Linimentum crotonis,
Linimentum opii,
Linimentum saponis,
Linimentum sinapis,
Picric acid solution,
St. Jacob’s Oil, and
Wright’s Liquor Carbonis Detergens.
(NOTE.—The list of medicines mentioned above includes the preparations specified in a similar notification published in the New Zealand Gazette of 24th February, 1927. That notification is hereby cancelled.)
