Education Reserves in North Auckland Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserves will be offered for lease by public auction at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., on Wednesday, 22nd August, 1928, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1908, and the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908, and amendments.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Mangonui County.--Ahipara Parish.

SECTION 58 : Area, 161 acres 1 rood 38 perches. Upset annual rent, £5 15s.

NOTE.--The lessee shall have the right to a lease of Section 70 adjoining, in order to give him formed road access to Section 58. Section 70 contains 32 acres 2 roods, and is nearly all flat land. The Crown will not undertake to form the road giving legal access to Section 58.

The section is situated about two miles and a half from Kaitaia by formed and metalled road (to Section 70). Cream cart passes. Undulating land, with steep gullies. About 2 acres bush; balance tea-tree scrub and gorse. Soil is clay resting on sandstone formation. Fairly well watered by swampy gullies. No improvements.

Whangaroa County.--Totara Parish.

Section 6 : Area, 36 acres 0 roods 34 perches. Upset annual rent, £2.

Situated about half a mile from Saies Post-office and store, and one mile from Totara North Wharf. Access road is metalled half a mile, clay road quarter of a mile, unformed quarter of a mile. Very undulating country covered with manuka and scrubby bush. Soil is fair clay resting on clay formation. Well watered by permanent streams. Altitude, 50 ft. to 400 ft. above sea-level. No improvements.

Hokianga County.--Rawene Suburbs.

Section 16 : Area, 1 acre 2 roods 9 perches. Upset annual rent, £4.

Section 38 : Area, 1 acre 2 roods 1 perch. Upset annual rent, £5.

Section 38 is weighted with 18s. 9d., valuation for improvements consisting of half-share in 2½ chains of fencing on the southern boundary.

Section 16 : Situated facing Webster Street, in the town of Rawene, about half a mile distant from the school. Undulating land with a little gorse, which is getting a hold.

Section 38 : Situated facing Parnell Street, in the Town of Rawene, about half a mile distant from the school. Land is fairly level, with a little gorse on it.

Both sections are suitable for residential purposes.
