Declaring that Land in Buller Coalfield Reserve shall be administered by the State Forest Service.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section six of the Forests Amendment Act, 1926, it is provided, inter alia, that the Governor-General may, on the joint recommendation of the Commissioner of State Forests and the Minister of Lands, by Proclamation, declare that any lands comprised in the Buller Coalfields Reserve, described in the Third Schedule to the Westland and Nelson Coalfields Administration Act, 1877, shall be administered by the State Forest Service as if they were State forests within the meaning of the Forests Act, 1921–22:

And whereas the Commissioner of State Forests and the Minister of Lands have made a joint recommendation that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be so administered:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Commissioner of State Forests and the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of land in the Buller Coalfields Reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date of the publication of this Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette, be administered by the State Forest Service as if it were a State forest within the meaning of the Forests Act, 1921–22.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON-MARLBOROUGH FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.—BULLER COALFIELD RESERVE.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District containing 1,470 acres, more or less, situated in Block XIV, Mokihinui Survey District, and Block II, Ngakawau Survey District: Bounded towards the north-west by Crown lands commencing at Trig. Station AM, a distance of 40 chains and 80 chains; towards the north-east by Crown lands, 60 chains; towards the south-east by Sawmill Area 3972, 57 chains and 13 chains, by Reservation Area 6514, 98 chains and 38 chains, and by Crown lands 33 chains and 47 chains; towards the south 40 chains by Crown lands, and again towards the north-west by Crown lands, 47 chains and 93 chains, to point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan No. 106/4, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of June, 1928.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land: 22 acres 1 rood 1 perch.

Being part Lot 1 (S.O. plan 134/57), being part Section 14, Hutt R.D.

Situated in Block XIV, Belmont Survey District (Borough of Lower Hutt).

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 72131, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of June, 1928.
