NOTICE is hereby given that an extraordinary resolution
dated 15th May, 1928, was duly passed in accordance
with the requirements of the Act, requiring that the company
be voluntarily wound up, and that Mr. T. WATSON ARTHUR,
Accountant, of Auckland, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the
matter of THE FARMERS’ CO-OPERATIVE MOTOR AND WHEELWRIGHT Co., LTD.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 223 of
the Companies Act, 1908, that at an extraordinary
general meeting of the above-named company, held at Morrinsville on the 15th day of May, 1928, the following extraordinary
resolution was passed:

"That as the company, by reason of its liabilities, cannot
continue its business, it is advisable to wind up the same,
and that the company be and is hereby placed in voluntary
liquidation; further, that THOMAS JOSEPH RYAN, of Morrinsville, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up."

BOROUGH OF NORTHCOTE.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE FOR THE QUEEN STREET PAVING SUPPLEMENTARY LOAN, £2,740.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Northcote Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of two thousand seven hundred and forty pounds sterling (£2,740) resolved to be raised by the Northcote Borough Council as an addition to the Queen Street Paving Loan of £27,400 under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the completion of the Queen Street paving scheme of the Borough of Northcote, the said Northcote Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nineteen hundredths of a penny (0.19d) in the pound sterling (£1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Northcote, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIAPO COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD AND TO CLOSE A ROAD.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waipu County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Act, to execute a certain public work-namely, altering the
course of a road-and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and, further, that it is proposed to close the portions of road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Notice is further given that a plan of the lands so required
to be taken and closed is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council at Waipiro Bay, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking and closing of such lands who have any well-founded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking or closing of the said lands, must state their objection in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of the said notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Waipiro Bay.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

Approximate area of land required to be taken : 1 rood 9 perches.
Being portion of Section 1, Block VIII, Waipiro Township, shown on plan 1299 (brown), and situate in Block XII, Mata Survey District, County of Waiapu (Gisborne Registration District).

SECOND SCHEDULE.

Approximate area of road required to be closed: 2 acres 2 roods 13 perches.
Fronting Section 1, Block VIII, Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, and 8, Block VII, Waipiro Township, coloured green on plan 1299 (brown), situated in Block XII, Mata Survey District, Waiapu County (Gisborne Registration District).

AKITIO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Akitio County Council hereby resolves as follows :- That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorized to be raised by the Akitio County Council under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, for the purpose of completing the metalling of the Kaituna Road, the said Akitio County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal two four two (0.242d.) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kaituna Road Special-rating Area, comprising all those properties within the Wellington Land District in the County of Akitio, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of E. R. Section 28, Block VI, Mount Cerberus Survey District, on the junction of the Kaituna Road and Pongaroa-Weber Road; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern side of the said Pongaroa-Weber Road (Alfredton-Weber Road) including Sections 17, 18, and Section 10, Block VI, Mount Cerberus Survey District, to the northernmost corner of the said Section 10, Block VI; thence proceeding by the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 10 in a south-easterly direction to its junction with the western boundary of Section 3B; thence in a north-easterly direction along the western boundary of the said Section 3B to its northernmost corner; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of the said Section 3B, across Kawakawa Road, to and by the eastern boundary of Section 2A, to and by the northernmost boundary of Section 1, Block VI, to its easternmost corner; thence by the eastern boundary of Block VI, along the eastern boundaries of Sections 1, 25, and E.R. 26, across Waihora Road, along the said block boundary, continuing along the eastern boundaries of Section 27 and Sections 1, 3, 4, and 5, Block X, to its junction with the northernmost corner of Section 186, Block X, continuing along the eastern boundary of the said Section 186, to and by its southernmost boundary to its junction with Section 171, Block III, Aohanga Survey District ; thence in a north-westerly direction by its westernmost boundary to the Peak; thence in a north-easterly direction along the western boundary of the said Section 186 to the peg at the southernmost corner of Section 29B, Block X; thence in north-westerly direction along the south-western boundary of the said Section 29B, to and by the south-eastern boundary of Section 6 to the junction of sections at the southernmost corner of Section 8; thence along the south-western boundaries of Sections 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13, to and by the north-western boundary of the said Section 13 to its junction with the boundary of Section 22, Block VI, Mount Cerberus Survey District, at its southernmost corner; thence in a north-westerly direction along the south-western boundaries of Sections 22 and 21, Block VI, to the Pongaroa-Weber Road; thence along the eastern side of the said road, across Kaituna Road to the starting-point at the junction of the said roads; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
