Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces, 1927,
amended.—Amendments No. 10.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amend-
ments, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend in
the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto
the Regulations for the Military Forces of the Dominion of
New Zealand, published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the
twenty-fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-seven; and I do hereby declare that the amendments
hereby made shall take effect as from date of publication
thereof in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
REGULATIONS FOR THE MILITARY FORCES OF THE
DOMINION OF NEW ZEALAND.
SECTION II.—COMMITTEES.
- PARAGRAPH 32: Subparagraph (1) is hereby revoked, and
the following substituted:—
“(1) Mobilization Committee—
Chief of the General Staff (Chairman).
Adjutant-General.
Quartermaster-General.
Director of Artillery.
General Staff Officer (Operations), (Secretary).”
SECTION IV.—NEW ZEALAND PERMANENT FORCES.
Discharge.
2. Paragraph 251 is hereby revoked.
3. Paragraph 251A: Line 1, delete “Royal N.Z. Artillery,”
and substitute “N.Z. Permanent Forces.”
SECTION V.—TERRITORIAL FORCE AND CADETS.
Transfer.
4. Paragraph 303: Line 4, delete “If serving in a Territorial
or Cadet Unit,” and substitute “If posted to the Territorial
Force or Cadets.”
SECTION VI.—TRAINING AND EDUCATION.
5. Paragraph 327: Delete “at some later date,” and
substitute “in the same training year.”
SECTION XI.—OFFICE WORK—CORRESPONDENCE, ETC.
6. Add new paragraph as follows:—
“845A. All inward registered correspondence, and valuable
enclosures received in unregistered postal packets, must be
dealt with in accordance with “Treasury Regulations and
Instructions,” Appendix I, paras. 12 to 16.”
SECTION XII.—RIFLE CLUBS.
7. Paragraph 880 is hereby revoked, and the following
substituted:—
“880. Free railway warrants will be granted under the
conditions laid down in paras. 718 (2) and 719.”

Welfare Act, 1925.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Child Welfare Act, 1925, I,
General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several
persons whose respective names and addresses are set out in
the First and Second Columns respectively of the Schedule
hereto as persons to be associated with the respective Children’s
Courts named in the Third Column of the said Schedule. And
I declare that the said respective appointments are made
generally in relation to all matters that may be dealt with
by such respective Courts. And I further declare that the
said respective appointments shall be for one year, ending
on the thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-nine.
