Prescribing the Term for which the Waimatuku River Board may borrow the Sum of £3,000, being the Balance of a Loan of £8,000, authorized to be raised for Drainage Works.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 10th day of May, 1928.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. Coates, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and fourteen of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, it is provided that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act or in any rule of law, where a local authority or public body has been authorized before the passing of the said Act, or is thereafter authorized, to borrow money, whether pursuant to a poll of ratepayers or otherwise howsoever, whether the rate of interest or the term of years of the loan was or was not specified or determined, and such money or any part thereof has not been borrowed, the local authority or public body may, with the precedent consent of the Minister of Finance, borrow such money, or such amount thereof as has not been borrowed, at such rate of interest, or for such term, as may be prescribed by the Governor-General by Order in Council :
And whereas the Waimatuku River Board has been authorized to borrow the sum of eight thousand pounds for drainage works, and is now desirous of raising the sum of three thousand pounds, being the balance of the loan of eight thousand pounds:
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by the above-recited section one hundred and fourteen, and it is desired that the term for which the said three thousand pounds may be borrowed be twenty years:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him as aforesaid, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the term for which the Waimatuku River Board may borrow the said sum of three thousand pounds shall be twenty years, and the said Waimatuku River Board is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum of three thousand pounds for this term.

Prescribing the Term for which Petone Borough Council may borrow the Sum of £800, authorized to be raised for completing the Drainage of the Surface Water from the Western Hills, and also the Rate of Interest payable thereon.

And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by the above-recited section one hundred and fourteen, and it is desired that the term for which the money may be borrowed be thirty-four years, and the rate of interest payable thereon be not exceeding five and three-quarters per centum per annum:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
of the power and authority vested in him as aforesaid, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the term for which the Petone Borough Council may borrow the said sum of eight hundred pounds shall be thirty-four years, and the rate of interest that may be paid thereon shall be a rate not exceeding five and three-quarters per centum per annum, and the said Petone Borough Council is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum of eight hundred pounds accordingly.

Revoking Order in Council licensing Fairfield Thompson to use and occupy Parts of the Foreshore of Porirua Harbour as a Site for a Boatshed.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 10th day of May, 1928.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. Coates, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the seventeenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 47, of the twentieth day of the same month, Fairfield Thompson (who with his executors, administrators, and assigns is hereinafter called “the licensee”) was licensed to use and occupy parts of the foreshore below low-water mark of Pahautanui Bay, Porirua Harbour, as a site for a boatshed:
And whereas the said licensee has applied to have the hereinbefore-recited license revoked, and it is desirable to revoke the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Harbours Act, 1923, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council of the seventeenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, as from the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the nineteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 49, of the twenty-second day of the same month, Henry Oliver Bickers (who with his executors, administrators, and assigns is hereinafter called “the licensee”) was licensed to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Te Kopuru, on the Wairoa River, Kaipara Harbour, as a site for a wharf:
And whereas the said licensee has applied to have the hereinbefore-recited license revoked, and it is desirable to revoke the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Harbours Act, 1923, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council of the nineteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, as from the thirty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.
