Majesty the King for a term of twenty-one years from the
first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen,
such lease being registered in the Land and Deeds Registry
Office, at Nelson, in Register-book Vol. 40, folio 294, is hereby
taken for the purposes of a road; and I also declare that
this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourth
day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land in respect of which
the leasehold interest is taken: 1 acre 0 roods 10 perches.
Being portion of Section 17.

Situated in Block XVI, Lyell Survey District. (S.O. 674R.)
In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 70812,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day
of May, 1928.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted
pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908
(hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended
that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be
permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient
to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in
the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said
Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
Lot 3 D.P. 8202, part Section 196, Hutt District, Block IV,
Belmont Survey District : Area, 1 rood 0·3 perches, more or
less.

Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a street the land
