Altering Boundaries of Piako and Waikato Counties, and including Area in Tamahere Riding, Waikato County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is provided by subsection two of section fourteen of the Counties Act, 1920, that the boundaries of any one or more counties may be altered in accordance with a resolution proposing the alteration passed by the Council of each of such counties in which the Counties Act is in force:
And whereas a resolution was passed by the Piako County Council on the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, praying for the alteration of the boundaries of the Piako and Waikato Counties in the manner described in the said resolution and in the First Schedule hereto:
And whereas a similar resolution was passed by the Waikato County Council on the thirteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven:
And whereas it is expedient to make such alterations in accordance with the said resolutions, and that the area to be added to the Waikato County should be included in the Tamahere Riding of that county:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by the said Act, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the First Schedule hereto, being now part of the Piako County, shall be added to and form part of the Waikato County: that the boundaries of the Waikato and Piako Counties as so altered shall be those set forth under the respective headings in the Second Schedule hereto; that the area added as aforesaid to the Waikato County shall be included in the Tamahere Riding of the said county; and that the boundaries of that riding shall be those set forth in the Third Schedule hereto.
And I do also proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA EXCLUDED FROM PIAKO COUNTY AND INCLUDED IN WAIKATO COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Land District of Auckland bounded on the north commencing at a point being the north-west corner of Tahuroa No. 4, Block IX, Maungakawa Survey District; thence in a south-easterly direction following the north-east boundaries of Sections Tahuroa No. 4 and No. 3 to the north-west corner of Tahuroa No. 1, Block XIII, Maungakawa Survey District; thence in an easterly direction along the surveyed line through Tahuroa Nos. 1 and 2, shown on D.P. No. 20705, to where this surveyed line junctions with the eastern boundary of Section 2, Block XIV, Maungakawa Survey District; towards the east by the eastern boundaries of Tahuroa No. 2, Tahuroa 1d, Sections 26, 72, and 25, Te Miro Settlement, to the Waitakaruru Stream; towards the south by the present boundary-line between the Counties of Waikato and Piako in a south-westerly direction along the Waitakaruru Stream through Sections 25, 19, 71, and 31, Te Miro Settlement; thence in a north-westerly direction along the Waitakaruru Stream through Sections 31, 29, and 28, Te Miro Settlement, to the south-west corner of Section 72, Te Miro Settlement; thence along the northern boundary of Karokaro Block, Block I, Cambridge Survey District, to the Confiscation-line; and on the west by the Confiscation-line in a north-westerly direction to the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
WAIKATO COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing in the middle of the Waikato River at its confluence with the Whangamarino River; thence up the middle of the Whangamarino River, the Maramarua River, and the Matangi Stream to its intersection with the Mercer-Pukorokoro Road; thence easterly along the middle of that road to Allotment 82, Parish of Koheroa, and along the western and northern boundaries of that allotment to the Firth of Thames at the mouth of the Pukorokoro Creek; thence southerly generally along the Confiscation Boundary-line to the northernmost point of Tahuroa No. 4 Block, Block IX, Maungakawa Survey District; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Tahuroa Nos. 4 and 3 Blocks aforesaid; thence south-easterly and north-easterly along the south-western boundaries of Lot 1 and the south-eastern boundaries of Lot 2 on plan 20705, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence south-easterly along the eastern boundaries generally of Tahuroa No. 1 Block, Sections 26s, 72s, and 71s, Te Miro Settlement, to the westernmost corner of Section 23s, Te Miro Settlement; thence along the western boundaries of Sections 23s and 24s, Te Miro Settlement, to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the northern boundaries of Section 24s aforesaid and Kiwitahi Nos. 2E and 1D Blocks to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned block; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of Kiwitahi Blocks Nos. 1D, 1E, and 1F, Te Konehu and Tawawhakapuoro Blocks, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned block; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of the Maungakawa Block and Sections 6s, 5s, and 3s, Te Miro Settlement, and the south-eastern boundary of the Sanatorium Reserve to the Confiscation Boundary-line; thence south-easterly along that line to the OpuaHau Trig. Station; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of Section 8, Hautapu Parish, to the Karapiro Stream; thence down the Karapiro Stream to the eastern boundary of the Borough of Cambridge; thence northerly, westerly, and southerly along the borough boundaries to the middle of the Waikato River; thence down the middle of the Waikato River to a point in line with the eastern boundary of the Borough of Hamilton; thence to and along that boundary and the northern boundary of the borough to the middle of the Waikato River; thence down the middle of the Waikato River to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of the Borough of Ngaruawahia; thence to and along the south-eastern, north-eastern, and northern boundaries of that borough and the production of the same to the middle of the Waikato River; thence down the middle of that river to a point in line with the southern boundary of the Town District of Huntly; thence to and along the southern, eastern, and northern boundaries of the said town district, and a production of the said northern boundary to the middle of the Waikato River; thence generally down the middle of that river so as to include within the said boundaries all islands in the said river to its confluence with the Whangamarino River, the place of commencement.
PIAKO COUNTY.
All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 1, Tainui Settlement, Block IV, Hapuakohe Survey District; thence along the north-eastern boundary of that section and the north-western boundary of Section 3, Block IV, Hapuakohe Survey District, to the middle of the Mangawhero Road; thence southerly along the middle of that road to the northern boundary of Section 6, Block IV aforesaid; thence along the northern boundary of that section and of Maukoro No. 2B 2 Block to its north-eastern corner; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Maukoro No. 2B 2 Block to the north-western boundary of Section 3, Block V, Waitoa Survey District; thence along the north-western boundaries of Sections 3, 2, and 1, Block V aforesaid, and part of the north-western boundary of part Maukoro Block to the middle of the Morrinsville-Waitakaruru Road; thence to and along the middle of the road forming the north-western boundary of part Maukoro Block aforesaid to the middle of the Piako River; thence down the middle of that river to the northern boundary of Block II, Waitoa Survey District; thence along the northern boundaries of Blocks II and III, Waitoa Survey District, to the south-western boundary of Te Awaii 1J 2B 4 Block; thence along the south-western boundary of that block and of Te Awaii 1B 2B 3 to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned block; thence along the south-eastern boundary of the said Te Awaii 1B 2B 3 Block to the northern boundary of Block III, Waitoa Survey District; thence along the northern boundary of Blocks III and IV to the middle of the Waihou River; thence up the middle of the Waihou River to the north-western boundary of the Borough of Te Aroha; thence generally southerly, easterly, and northerly along the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of the said borough to the intersection of the eastern boundary of Block IX, Te Aroha Survey District, with a line drawn due west from Te Aroha Trig. Station; thence by a line due east to that trig. station (Te Aroha); thence north-easterly along the Confiscation Boundary-line and south-easterly along the summit of the range and the western boundary of a forest reserve to its intersection with the north-western boundary of Whakamarama No. 2 Block; thence south-westerly along the northern boundaries of Okauia No. 1A Block; thence down the middle of the Wairere Stream and the Waihou River to a point in line with the production of the north-western boundary-line of Section 27A, Block X, Wairere Survey District; thence south-westerly to and along that boundary and the north-western boundaries of Section 27, Block X, and Lot 24A, Turanga-o-Moana Block; thence north and west generally along the southern boundaries of Turanga-o-Moana, Aratiatia, Taramorahi No. 1, and Mata-mata North Blocks to the middle of the Waitoa River;
