the south-eastern corner of Block I, Lower Wanaka Survey District; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of the said Block I to the north-eastern corner of the said Block I; thence due west along the northern boundary of Block I aforesaid to the Cardrona River; thence down the Cardrona and up the Clutha River to Lake Wanaka; thence up the centre of Lake Wanaka to the mouth of the Wilkin River; thence up the centre of the Wilkin River to the foot of a spur leading to Mount Kuri; thence by a right line to Mount Kuri, from Mount Kuri to the summit of the Southern Alps, and by the Southern Alps to Broderick’s Pass, the place of commencement.

The Lagoon known as Tomahawk Lagoon (Otago Peninsula) Section 22, Block IV, Sutton District, being the property of Mr. E. J. Docherty.
The property owned by Mr. R. Acton Adams, known as “Wilden,” Tuapeka County, containing 8,890 acres.
Section 1210, Block 9, Dunback and Hummockside Districts, the property of Mr. John Philip, Palmerston.

THE following special order passed by the Manawatu County Council at a special meeting on the 14th day of February, 1928, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 13th day of March, 1928, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act.

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908, and amendments, and all other powers enabling, the Manawatu County Council, by way of special order, hereby resolves as follows: That the undermentioned plant, included in the Third Schedule of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908, shall be deemed to be a noxious weed within the County of Manawatu :-
Lupin (Lupinus Luteus).
Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22, and its Amendment, fixing the Closing-hours of Tobacconists’ Shops within the Borough of Palmerston North.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing has been forwarded to me from the occupiers of tobacconists’ shops within the Borough of Palmerston North pursuant to section 32 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22 :
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the said section 32, I, George James Anderson, Minister of Labour, do hereby direct that on and after the 30th day of April, 1928, all tobacconists’ shops within the said borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 6 p.m., and on Saturdays at 10 p.m., with the following exceptions: (1) No shop affected by this notice shall be required to be closed thereunder earlier than 8.30 p.m. during Winter and Spring Show weeks; (2) during the period from 21st December to 31st December, the closing-hour shall, subject to the next succeeding section, be 10 p.m.; (3) on the working-day immediately preceding Christmas Day and on the working-day immediately preceding New Year’s Day the closing-hour shall be 10.30 p.m.; (4) no shop affected by this notice shall be required to be closed thereunder earlier than 8.30 p.m.
on the working-day immediately preceding any day generally observed in the Borough of Palmerston North as a whole holiday.
The notice dated the 12th February, 1908, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 13th February, 1908, fixing closing-hours of tobacconists’ shops in the said borough shall be and is hereby cancelled as from the date of the coming into operation of this notice.
And whereas the said requisition is signed by not less than two-thirds of the occupiers of tobacconists’ shops within the said borough, notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 25 of the Shops and Offices Amendment Act, 1927, all other shops within the said borough in which smoking requisites are sold shall be closed at the same hours as are set out herein for tobacconists’ shops: Provided that no such shop which is closed for the statutory half-holiday on Saturday shall be required by the said section 25 to be closed earlier than 9 p.m. on Friday.

The notice dated the 12th February, 1908, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 13th February, 1908, fixing closing-hours of hairdressers’ shops in the Borough of Palmerston North shall be and is hereby cancelled as from the date of the coming into operation of this notice.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-order and Transmission of Postal Correspondence in New Zealand for the Great Royal Hungarian Money Lottery, Budapest.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the institution whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered; under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said institution, or any officer thereof, shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said institution, or any officer thereof (either by its own or any fictitious or assumed name), or addressed to the address in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.
