SCHEDULE.
THE western side generally of all that portion of road,
situated in the Nelson Land District, County of Waimea,
adjoining Sections 91, 92, 93, 94, and part 95, Blocks VIII
and XII, Wangapeka Survey District. As the said portion
of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 71720, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public
Works, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The North-eastern Side of Portion of Murray Street, in the City
of Dunedin, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of
the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the
Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 4th day
of April, 1928.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in any-
wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution
passed by the Dunedin City Council on the twenty-second
day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-
eight, the portion of street affected by such resolution being
described in the Schedule hereto, viz. :—
“ That the Dunedin City Council, being the local authority
having control of the streets in the City of Dunedin, by
resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred
and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply
to the north-eastern portions of Murray Street where the
same abut on Lots 7 and 8, Block I, Corstorphine Estate, as
the said portions of street are shown on the plan attached
hereto, and thereon coloured brown ” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the north-
eastern side of the portion of Murray Street (described in the
Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from
the centre-line of the said portion of street.

THE north-eastern side of all that portion of street, situated
in the Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, known as Murray
Street, adjoining Allotments 7 and 8, Block I, Corstorphine
Estate. As the said portion of street is more particularly

office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, and
thereon coloured brown.

Validating Proceedings in connection with Hauraki United
Drainage Board's Loan of £1,000 for certain Drainage
Works.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 4th day
of April, 1928.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of the Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, (hereinafter referred to as
“ the said Act ”), and with the consent of the requisite pro-
portion of ratepayers given pursuant to paragraph (e) of
section seventeen of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as
“ the ratepayers’ consent ”), the Hauraki Drainage Board
lately proceeded by way of special order (hereinafter referred
to as “ the said special order ”) to raise a special loan of one
thousand pounds (hereinafter referred to as “ the said loan ”)
for the purpose of providing the cost of certain drainage
works and improvements :
And whereas the said loan was for the benefit of a defined
part of the Hauraki Drainage District, known as the Central
Loan Special-rating Area (hereinafter referred to as “ the
said special-rating area ”), as more particularly defined in
the said special order :
And whereas the proceedings in connection with the said
loan were irregular or defective in that certain ratepayers
who signed the ratepayers’ consent also witnessed the sig-
natures of other ratepayers to that consent :
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers of the said
special-rating area have not been misled by such irregularity
or defect as aforesaid, and it is expedient to validate the
same :
And whereas by Order in Council under the Land Drainage
Act, 1908, dated the eleventh day of March, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-seven, and published in the Gazette
of the seventeenth day of the same month, it was ordered and
declared that the Hauraki Drainage District and the Horahia
Drainage District should, as on and from the first day of
April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, form
one united district under and for the purposes of the said Act,
and that the name of the said united district should be the
Hauraki United Drainage District :
And whereas by section sixty of the Local Legislation Act,
1927, the Hauraki United Drainage Board is empowered,
notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act, to
raise the said loan pursuant to the terms of the said special
order in all respects as if the said special order had been
duly made by it under the said Act :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one
hundred and twenty-two of the said Act, and of all other
powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare
that the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall
be valid to all intents and purposes as though the ratepayers’
consent had been properly signed and witnessed, and that the
validity of the proceedings in connection with the said loan
or the validity of the security for the said loan shall not be
called in question by reason only of such irregularity or defect
as aforesaid.

hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-
lines of the said portions of streets.
SCHEDULE.
THE eastern sides of all those portions of streets in the North
Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, known as Ngahere
Terrace and Gibraltar Crescent, adjoining Lots 26, 27, 28,
and 29 of a subdivision of Allotment 3, Section 95, Suburbs
of Auckland. As the said portions of streets are more parti-
cularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 71295, de-
posited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
