NOTICE is hereby given that the business of Plumber and Tinsmith which has been carried on by Mr. A. RAMSAY in the premises No. 52 Elizabeth Street, Wellington, under the name or style of “Taylor, Ramsay, and Co.,” will be carried on from the 1st day of February, 1928, by Messrs. J. J. DORAN and J. W. KAYWOOD, under the same name or style of “Taylor, Ramsay, and Co.,” and that from such date the said Mr. Ramsay will not be concerned in any way with the said business or the running or working of the same or any liabilities incurred in connection therewith.

All debts owing by the said Mr. A. Ramsay in connection with the said business as at the 31st day of January, 1928, will be paid by the said Mr. Ramsay, but all debts incurred in connection with the said business after that date will be incurred by the said Messrs. Doran and Kaywood alone.

All debts owing to the said Mr. Ramsay for work done or goods supplied in connection with the said business up to and including the said 31st day of January, 1928, may be paid to the said Messrs. Doran and Kaywood or to the said Mr. Ramsay.

LOWER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Lower Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Lower Hutt Borough Street Widening and Construction Loan of £9,000, 1928, authorized to be raised by the Lower Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes of widening and the construction of certain streets within the borough, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ninety-eight four-hundredths (98/400ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
