2/101/16 Machinery, machines, machine tools, engines, and appliances, peculiar to use in manufacturing, industrial, and similar processes, viz.—contd. Coal-handling appliances, viz.,— Truck retarders, control tables, automatic tipplers, and tippler shoots Confectioners' machines, viz.,— Crimp cup-machine for making paper-cups .. Mixing machines (for mixing and stirring confectionery pastes) having a capacity of 2 gallons or upwards Cranes, viz.,— Petrol-electric mobile cranes, 1 ton to 3½ tons. (Ransome and Rapier, manufacturers) Portable cranes fitted, or specially suited for fitting, to tractors, and operated by power supplied by the tractor-engine (NOTE.—The tractor, if imported, is to be separately classified under Tariff item 348) Dredging machinery, viz.,— Buckets for harbour dredges Pins and bushes of manganese steel for dredge buckets Screen plates, being perforated plates of manganese steel for use with gold-dredges Tumblers for harbour dredges, including shafts therefor Electricians' safety appliances, viz.,— Rubber paint-pots, and rubber static resisting coats, peculiar to use of linesmen Excavating machines, viz.,— Crane navvies, “Ruston”.. “Northwest” excavators .. Trenching machines, “Austin,” models 200–900 (NOTE.—The power units imported with and forming part of the above-mentioned excavating machines, although classified under the same Tariff item, are regarded as separate articles, and are to be entered accordingly.) Filling machines, viz.,— “Ideal” vacuum fillers for filling bottles with liquids “Universal,” for filling tins with wax or similar substances Filling and measuring machines, “Eclipse” and similar, for filling tins with petrol (NOTE.—The galvanized iron tank, pump, and valves on supply pipe to tank, are to be separately classified under their appropriate Tariff items) Filters, viz.,— Gas-Co-Lator, “Alemite,” for removing dirt and water from motor-fuel before it reaches the carburettor Oil filters, “Wells” patent, for filtering waste oil Flour-milling machinery, viz.,— Brush machines for cleaning wheat before milling Gas-fuel burners, Pyrogenetic, for stereotype or electrotype furnaces (NOTE.—The fan and electric motor, if imported, are to be separately classified under their appropriate Tariff items) Gas governors and leather diaphragms for same Glove-manufacturing appliances, viz.,— Electric hand, including stand and heat regulator therefor, for shaping gloves Glueing machine, viz.,— Socking machine, “Jagenberg,” for glueing sock-soles, labels, box-tops, &c. Hoists and winches, viz.,— Hoists and winches, when imported separately for attachment to tractors, viz., the “Caterpillar,” “White,” and “Willamette” (NOTE.—When imported with and forming part of the tractors to which they belong, these hoists are to be classified as parts of tractors) Homogeniser, “Hurrell,” for emulsifying oils, mixing powders or liquids, and similar purposes Insulators, viz.,— “Fish Spine” porcelain insulating beads ..
