Constable Walter Kelly

to be Clerk and Bailiff of the Magistrate’s Court at Patea on and from the 5th day of January, 1928, vice Constable H. D. Armour, deceased; and

Constable Alfred Adolphus Mitchell

to be Clerk and Bailiff of the Magistrate’s Court at Russell, on and from the 6th day of January, 1928, vice Constable D. Clark, transferred.

Appointment of Permit-officers for Purpose of issuing Permits for Camping-sites under the Provisions of the Taupo Landing Reserve Regulations, 1927.

PURSUANT to the provisions of Regulation 6 of the Taupo Landing Reserve Regulations, 1927, I, Maui Pomare, Acting Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

G. F. Yerex, Chief Ranger, Tokaanu, and
G. G. Potts, Ranger, Taupo,

to be permit-officers for the purpose of issuing permits for camping-sites.

to be Registrar of Marriages and Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Heriot, as from the 22nd day of December, 1927.

Dougall Rollo, Esquire,

to be an Inspector for the purposes of the Factories Act, 1921–22, the Scaffolding and Excavation Act, 1922, and the Weights and Measures Act, 1925, as from the 4th day of January, 1928.

Charles William Carver, Esquire,

to be Registrar of Poisons for the Westland District for the purposes of the Poisons Act, 1908, as from the 19th day of December, 1927.

Harold James Henderson, Esquire,

to be Deputy Registrar at Masterton of the Supreme Court of New Zealand for the purposes of the Judicature Act, 1908, as from the 4th day of January, 1928.

Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Green Island, the County of Taieri, and the Kaikorai Riding of the County of Taieri.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Borough of Green Island are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by Order in Council dated the 19th day of September, 1927, made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and published in Gazette No. 65 of the 22nd day of September, 1927:

And also in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the County of Taieri affected by the said Order in Council dated the 19th day of September, 1927, are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto:

And in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Kaikorai Riding of the County of Taieri affected by the said Order in Council dated the 19th day of September, 1927, are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF GREEN ISLAND.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District bounded by a line commencing at the junction of Edward Street and Gordon Street in the extension of the Township of Burnside; thence southerly along the western side of Gordon Street, 276 links; thence easterly across Gordon Street and along the southern boundary of Section 41, Block VI, Dunedin and East Taieri District, to Duke Street; thence along the southern side of Duke Street to Section 61, Block VI aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the last-mentioned section to its south-western corner; thence easterly along the southern boundary of that section, and north-easterly along its south-eastern boundary and the south-eastern boundary of Section 44, and part of the south-eastern boundary of Section 45, Block VI aforesaid, to the northernmost corner of Section 45, Lower Kaikorai District; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of Section 45, Block VI aforesaid, to its southernmost corner, and thence along the south-western boundary of Section 33, Lower Kaikorai District, to the Lower Kaikorai Road; thence across that road and along a right line bearing 117° 56′ for a distance of 1197·8 links to the eastern boundary of Section 45, Block VI, Town District; thence along the eastern boundary of that section to the Main South Road; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of that road to the south-western side of section 45 aforesaid; thence across that road and south-westerly generally along its south-eastern side to the north-eastern corner of Allotment 13, Township of Concord; along the eastern boundaries of Allotments 13 and 14, across Mulford Street, along the eastern boundary of Allotment 46 and the south-western boundaries of Allotments 46, 45, 44, 43, 42, 41, 40, and 39, Township of Concord, to Emerson Street, and along the
