V. The provisions of any by-laws made under the powers
hereby conferred shall be in addition to, and shall not abridge
or affect, any remedy or proceeding under any other Act or
under regulations made under any other Act, or under by-laws
made by any local authority under any other Act, but so that
no person shall be punished for the same offence both under
the provisions of by-laws made under the powers hereby con-
ferred and under any other law or enactment or any regula-
tions or by-laws thereunder.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of January,

Revocation of the Reservation of a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Forests Act, 1921–22, and
pursuant to a resolution in that behalf passed by both Houses
of Parliament, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
revoke (so far only as it relates to the Crown land described
in the Schedule hereto) the Proclamation of the twenty-fourth
day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six,
whereby the said land (with certain other land) was set apart
as a permanent State Forest, and declare that the reservation
thereby effected is (so far only as aforesaid) revoked accord-
ingly.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND FOREST-
CONSERVATION REGION.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District containing by
admeasurement 440 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks
VII and X, Oteramika Hundred, and bounded generally as
follows : Towards the north by Manson Road, 1902 and 1550
links ; towards the south-east by part Sawmill Area No. 233,
2900 links ; again towards the north by a line running due
east to the Shepherd Road, 5800 links ; towards the north-
east by Shepherd Road, 2100, 2250, and 198·1 links ; towards
the south-east by Section 20, Block X, Oteramika Hundred,
5401·2 links ; towards the south-west and south by Section 64,
Block VII, Oteramika Hundred, 485·6 and 3222·7 links
respectively ; towards the west by Crown land, 1207·3 links ;
again towards the south by Crown land, 2800 links ; and
towards the west and north-west by Sections 26, 25, and 24,
Block VII, Oteramika Hundred, 3210·2 and 2072 links
respectively, to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the Southland Land District con-
taining by admeasurement 128 acres, more or less, situated in
Blocks VII and X, Oteramika Hundred, and bounded gene-
rally as follows: Towards the north by Manson Road, 4600
links ; towards the east by Shepherd Road, 1030 links, 1680
links, and 1740 links ; towards the south by a line running
due west from Shepherd Road, 5800 links ; towards the
north-west by part Sawmill Area 233A, 2900 links, to the
point of commencement.
Also all that area in the Southland Land District con-
taining by admeasurement 362 acres, more or less, situated
in Block X, Oteramika Hundred, and bounded generally as
follows: Towards the north by Manson Road, 5530 links ;
towards the east by Seaward Downs Road, 1910 links ;
towards the south-east by Section 19, Block X, Oteramika
Hundred, 4907 links, and Section 2, Block X, Oteramika
Hundred, 4150 links ; towards the west by Shepherd Road,
2480 links, 3760 links, 1640 links, and 1110 links, to the point
of commencement.
As the same are more particularly delineated on plan
No. 216/2, deposited at the Head office, State Forest
Service, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of
January, 1928.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the
Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land
described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject
to the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of stopped Government road
declared to be Crown land : 1 acre 0 roods 11·4 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Te Rae-o-te-Papa North C
No. 2 and Te Rae-o-te-Papa North E No. 3.
Situated in Block IV, Waitoa Survey District. (S.O. 20323.)
In the Auckland Land District ; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45486,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of
January, 1928.

section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir
Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land
in Hokonui Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a
road : 2 acres 0 roods 35 perches.
Being portion of Section 19. Situated in Block XXV, Hokonui
Survey District (Southland R.D.). (S.O. R. 559).
In the Southland Land District ; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 70833,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of
January, 1928.

every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Go-
vernor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a street,
and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of
