HUNGAHUNGA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hungahunga Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the Hungahunga Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act for cleansing, deepening, and widening existing water-courses, drains, and outfalls, and making and constructing new water-courses, drains, and outfalls within the Piraunui Special-rating Area of the Board’s district, the Hungahunga Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate on a graduated scale according to the Board’s classification of the rateable property within the said area upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of the Piraunui Special-rating Area of the Hungahunga Drainage District upon Class “A” of twopence in the pound, upon Class “B” of one penny in the pound, and upon Class “C” of the one halfpenny in the pound, such area comprising all those lands in the Land District of Auckland bounded as follows: Commencing at a point, being the north-western corner of the block Waihekau No. 4, continuing along the north-western boundary of the said block to a point 20 chains from the Piraunui Stream; thence in a straight line northwards to a point on the Morrinsville-Te Aroha Railway, 30 chains from the junction of the Piraunui and Waiwhero Streams, and along the said railway to such junction; thence bounded by the Waiwhero Stream to the Thames-Waikato Road; thence by that road in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 12 chains; and thence by the north-eastern, eastern, southern, south-western, and western boundaries of the Piraunui Subdivision of the Hungahunga Drainage District, gazetted 9th November, 1922, New Zealand Gazette No. 81 of 1922, at page 2959, to the point of commencement; and that such graduated special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

FEATHERSTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Featherston Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Featherston Borough Streets Improvement Loan of £1,000, 1928, authorized to be raised by the Featherston Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of tar-sealing in Fitzherbert, Moore, Brandon, and Révans Streets, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny (1d) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Featherston, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other authorities and powers (if any) it in that behalf enabling, the Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing and/or securing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Waipawa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of workers’ dwellings and for erecting workers’ dwellings, and for advancing money to a worker to enable him to erect a worker’s dwelling or to acquire land and erect a worker’s dwelling thereon, or to acquire land with a dwelling erected thereon, but limited by and subject to the terms of the authority given to the said Waipawa Borough Council by the Local Government Loans Board in that behalf, the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Waipawa Borough Council, comprising the whole of the Borough of Waipawa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable half-yearly on the 9th day of June and the 9th day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAITOMO ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and excercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waitomo Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £20,000 (twenty thousand pounds) authorized to be raised by the Waitomo Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the erection of offices and showrooms in the Borough of Te Kuiti and the Township of Otorohanga, the purchase of static condensers, and further reticulation work, the said Waitomo Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅜d. (three-eighths of a penny) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Waitomo Electric-power District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ (thirty-six and a half) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE OF FINAL WINDING-UP MEETING.

In the matter of the MORRINSVILLE PROPERTY AND PICTURES, LIMITED (in voluntary liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of sections 230 and 252 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held in the office of THOMAS JOSEPH RYAN, Public Accountant, Studholme Street, Morrinsville, on Wednesday, the 7th day of March, 1928, at three o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property disposed of, and of hearing any explanation which may be given by the Liquidator. And also of determining, by extraordinary resolution, the manner in which the books and papers of the company and of the Liquidator shall be disposed of.
