NOTICE is hereby given that the licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Westland Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

NOTICE is hereby given that the forfeiture of the undermentioned land, gazetted on 3rd November, 1927, page 3450, has been rescinded by resolution of the Canterbury Land Board.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to 4 p.m. on Thursday, 16th February, 1928, for leases of the undermentioned reserves in terms of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and amendments.

Situated in Horndon (Darfield) Township, which is on the Main West Coast railway, thirty miles from Christchurch. Sections are suitable for building-sites.
Terms and Conditions of Lease.
- Term of lease: Twenty-one years, without right of renewal.
- Tenders, accompanied by half year’s rent and £1 1s. (lease fee), to be addressed to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Christchurch, and to be marked on the outside “Tender for Reserve 3604, 3605, 3612, or 3625,” as the case may be.
- The highest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
- Possession will be given as from date of acceptance of any tender.
- The Commissioner of Crown Lands may at any time resume possession of the land comprised in the lease, or any portion thereof, by giving to the lessee twelve months’ notice in writing of his intention to do so.
- The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the whole or any portion of the land comprised in the lease, except with the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.
- The lessee shall have no right to compensation either for any improvements that may be placed upon the land or on account of the aforementioned resumption.
- The land shall be used for grazing purposes only, and shall not be broken up or cropped without the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.
- The lessee shall destroy all rabbits on the land, and shall prevent their increase or spread to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
- The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of gorse, broom, and sweetbriar on the land comprised in the lease; and he shall, with all reasonable despatch, remove, or cause to be removed, all gorse, sweetbriar, broom, or other noxious weeds or plants, as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
- The rent shall be payable half-yearly in advance, free from all deductions whatsoever.
- The lease shall be liable to forfeiture in case the lessee shall fail to fulfil any of the conditions of the said lease within sixty days after the date on which the same ought to be fulfilled.

Reserve in Taranaki Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned reserve will be offered for lease by public auction for a term of seven years at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, 15th February, 1928, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., under the provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and amendments.

SECTION 27, Puniwhakau Village: Area, 4 acres. Upset annual rental, £3. Term of lease, seven years.
Situated on the Mangaehu Road, near the Puniwhakau School. It is all in grass, and is known as Cemetery Reserve.
