ment Act, 1923, and of every other power and authority in
anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
set apart for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway
at Woodville: and I also hereby declare that this Proclama-
tion shall take effect on and after the first day of December,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 acre 1 rood.
Being Suburban Section 46, Borough of Woodville.
(L. and S. 6/8/37, Head Office.)

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 39312,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wel-
ington, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of
November, 1927.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, con-
venience, and enjoyment of the Christchurch—Lyttel-
ton Branch of the Hurunui—Waitaki Railway to take further
land at Woolston, in addition to land previously acquired for
the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise
of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections
twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public
Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 12·7 perches.
Portion of R.S. 245, City of Christchurch. (S.O. 2015, red.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 39460,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of
November, 1927.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, consti-
tuted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act,
1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has
recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto
should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is
expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in
the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said
Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District, containing by
admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood, more or less, being Lot 3
(formerly part of Lot 2), Section 5, Block XII, Motu Survey
District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked
L. and S. 4/459, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of
