Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of November, 1927.

Revoking Portion of a Proclamation taking Land for the Purposes of Stop-banks in Blocks VIII and XII, Waihou Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke so much of the Proclamation, dated the eighth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fourteenth day of the same month, taking land for the purposes of stop-banks in Blocks VIII and XII, Waihou Survey District, as affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land affected: 4 acres 3 roods 17 perches. Being part Lot 4, Komata S. (D.P. 6842.)

Situated in Block XII, Waihou Survey District. (S.O. 21476.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 51190 (sheet 3), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged purple.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of November, 1927.

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 14th day of November, 1927.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS each of the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto has obtained, in terms of section fourteen of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, exemption from the requirements of that Act in respect of the loans mentioned in the said Schedule:

And whereas application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, to enable the said local authorities to borrow the sums set out in the said Schedule, and it is expedient that such precedent consent should issue:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the said loans.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Mairaki Survey District, Canterbury Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 14th day of November, 1927.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was reserved for Provincial Government purposes, being a purpose within Class I of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908:

And whereas it is expedient that such land shall be appropriated for river-protection purposes, being a purpose within the said Class I:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the said land shall, from and after the date hereof, be appropriated for river-protection purposes under Class I of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

RESERVE 1836, Block I, Mairaki Survey District: Area, 8 acres, more or less.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

George Cowens,
Benjamin Croft,
George Knight Crysell,
William Ralph Gardner,
Henry Heinisch,
James Brackenridge Struthers, and
Henry Tallott

to be the Cust Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Tuesday, the twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, at eight o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Gentlemen’s Club, Cust, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
