PAPATOETOE TOWN DISTRICT.

RESULT OF POLL.

PURSUANT to section 42 of the Rating Act, 1925, I hereby give notice that the number of votes recorded at the poll on 25th October, 1927, on the proposal that the system of rating property on the basis of the unimproved value thereof be adopted in the Papatoetoe Town District, is as follows:- For the proposal, 326; against the proposal, 275; informal, 7. Majority in favour of the proposal, 51.

I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between SAMUEL DUDLEY RABONE and NORMAN MYCROFT RABONE, both of Blenheim, carrying on business at Blenheim as Printers, Stationers, and Music Dealers, under the style or firm of “Rabone Brothers,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 5th day of November, 1927.

All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by Norman Mycroft Rabone, who will continue to carry on the said business.

THE WAIWETU QUARRIES, LTD.

(IN LIQUIDATION).

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 and 252 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held in my office, 126 Featherston Street, Wellington, on Thursday, 24th November, 1927, at 3 o'clock p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Wellington District, Wellington Registry, dated the 11th day of March, 1927, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £3,500 to £2,000, and the minute (approved by the Court) showing, with respect to the capital of the company as altered, the several particulars required by the above-mentioned Act, were registered by the Assistant Registrar of Companies at Wellington on the 1st day of November, 1927 : And notice is hereby also given that the said minute is in the words and figures following :- The capital of the company henceforth is £2,000, divided into 2,000 shares of £1 each, the original 1,500 contributing shares having been cancelled and the liability thereunder extinguished. At the time of the registration of this minute the said 2,000 shares have been issued, and are fully paid up.

MOUNT ROSKILL ROAD DISTRICT.

RESULT OF POLL.

JOSEPH WARREN, Returning Officer for the Mount Roskill District, do hereby declare that at the poll taken on Saturday, the 29th day of October, 1927, on the proposal that the Mount Roskill Road District and the City of Auckland be constituted one united city-

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 876 ; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 961.

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

CITY OF AUCKLAND.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows :- That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £12,000, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing an additional 10 per cent. on loan of £120,000, being part of the Consolidated Loan (1924) £847,000, for drainage work within the City of Auckland, the said City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny (1/10th) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period not exceeding thirty-three years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between JOHN IVOR HAY and HUGH WEBBER, and carried on at Auckland under the style or firm of “Hay and Webber,” Shur Lite Electrical Depot, is hereby dissolved by mutual consent.
