THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
[No. 78

set apart by Proclamation dated the thirtieth day of January,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and gazetted
on the second day of February, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-two, is required for settlement purposes; and, in
accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land
shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease
to be provisional State forest, and shall become subject to the
provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Wellington Land District containing
209 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks IV and VIII,
Kaitieke Survey District, and bounded as follows: On the
north by Section 40, Block IV, Kaitieke Survey District; on
the east by the scenic reserve along the left bank of the
Whakapapa River; on the south by Adsett’s milling-area;
and on the west by the Waimarino-Taumarunui Road, to the
place of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of November, 1927.

Proclaiming a Road-line laid out through the Pakikaikutu Block, North Auckland Land District, to be a Public Road.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by an order of the Native Land Court made on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, duly laid off as a road-line, in pursuance of sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913:

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section fifty-one of the said Act:

And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of section fifteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914:

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and in so far as each of these sections is applicable, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 9 acres 0 roods 8 perches.

Portion of Pakikaikutu Block, situated in Block XIV, Whangarei Survey District.

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 10/1491, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2241, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of November, 1927.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in Waipori Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ROAD CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 6 acres 3 roods 25 perches.

Adjoining Sections 19 and 20, Block V, and Sections 1, 2, and 3, Block VIII, Waipori Survey District.

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 9/1557, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2240, and thereon coloured green.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Land for Selection by Discharged Soldiers under Special Tenures, in the North Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the thirtieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and published in the Gazette of the fifth day of September, then instant, setting apart settlement lands for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, in so far as it relates to the land in the Schedule hereto.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.

Rodney County.

SECTION 7s, Waiteitei Settlement: Area, 174 acres 0 roods 28 perches.

Defining the Middle-line of a Branch Railway from the Kawakawa—Hokianga (N.A.M.T.) Railway, Ngapuhi Northwards (Okoro Section).

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of a branch railway from the Kawakawa—Hokianga (N.A.M.T.) Railway, Ngapuhi Northwards (Okoro Section), shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point on the Kawakawa—Hokianga Railway, in Block VII, Omapere Survey District, marked 0 m. (which point coincides with a point marked 25 m. 16·72 chs., on land plans P.W.D. 50332), and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally for a distance of about 1 mile 16·51 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz.: Part Umuhapuku No. 2 Block; Part Allotment 17, Omapere Parish; Te Komiti Block, Otaere Block, Allotment 18, Omapere Parish; Otaere No. 2 Block, Allotment 27, Omapere Parish; Kaingapokanoa Block, and Crown land, Block VII, Omapere Survey District; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the North Auckland Land District.
