CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Land in Westland Land District forfeited.

NOTICE is hereby given that the license of the under-mentioned land having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Westland Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

Lands in the North Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 11th October, 1927.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands will be offered for sale by public auction for cash at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Monday, 14th November, 1927, at 11 o’clock a.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND.

Whangarei County.—Whangarei Parish.

SECTION 119: Area, 7 acres 0 roods 29·6 perches. Upset price, £325.

Section 128: Area, 3 acres 1 rood 24·2 perches. Upset price, £155.

Sections form what was formerly the Te Pupua Domain, situated at the northern end of Kamo Township. Level open land, mostly in grass. Suitable for grazing or residential purposes.

Terms of Sale.

One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with Crown grant fee (£1), within thirty days thereafter; otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land be null and void.

Titles will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924.

Land in Hawke’s Bay Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Napier, 11th October, 1927.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under section 20 of the Discharged Soldiers’ Settlement Amendment Act, 1923, and the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 9th November, 1927.

Preference at the ballot will be given to landless applicants who have one or more children dependent on them; to landless applicants who, within two years immediately preceding date of ballot have applied for land at least twice unsuccessfully; to applicants who have served beyond New Zealand as members of the Expeditionary Force; to persons engaged on military service beyond New Zealand in connection with the late war, if such persons immediately prior to the war were bona fide residents of New Zealand; and to applicants who, while domiciled in New Zealand, have served beyond New Zealand as members of any of His Majesty’s Forces in connection with any war other than the war with Germany.

SCHEDULE.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Hawke’s Bay County.—Moeangiangi Survey District.

(Exempt from payment of Rent for Three Years.)

SECTION 3, Block IX: Area, 584 acres. Capital value, £2,000. Half-yearly rent, £50.

Situated five miles from Waikare (Putorino) Post-office and School. The block is suitable for pastoral purposes. Watered by good permanent streams and springs. About 230 acres would grow green crops. Buildings comprise 2-roomed cottage and porch, in good condition, and a small shearing-shed of corrugated iron, and sheep-yards. The section is ring-fenced except where naturally stock-proof with river and creek banks. Would carry about four hundred wet sheep and two hundred dry sheep, and about fifty cattle when the land has been cleared up and put in good condition. Considerable amount of blackberry.

ABSTRACT OF CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

  1. Term of lease, sixty-six years, with a perpetual right of renewal for further successive terms of sixty-six years.

  2. Rent, 5 per cent. per annum on the capital value, payable on 1st January and 1st July in each year.

  3. Applicants to be seventeen years of age and upwards.

  4. Applicants to furnish statutory declaration with applications, and, on being declared successful, deposit £1 1s. (lease fee) and a half-year’s rent. Rent for the broken period
