Subdivision 2 of Section 8, Block VIII: Area, 3 acres 2 roods 13 perches. Upset price, £25.
Situated at the junction of the Okau and Tooi Roads, near the Tongaporutu River. Subdivision 2 comprises good river flat in grass, whilst Subdivision 1 is of same formation in the front, but has some steep bluffs at the back.
CONDITIONS OF SALE.
The purchaser may pay for the land in cash or by deferred payments. The terms are:—

Cash.—One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with Crown grant fee (£1), within thirty days thereafter.

Deferred Payments.—Five per cent. of the purchase-money, together with £1 1s. license fee, to be paid on the fall of the hammer.
The balance of the purchase-money, with interest thereon at the rate of 5½ per cent. per annum, to be paid by instalments extending over a period of 34½ years.
The licensee shall have the right at any time during the currency of his license to pay off either the whole of the purchase-money or any half-yearly instalment or instalments thereof then remaining unpaid.
Upon receipt of the final instalment a certificate of title in respect of the land purchased shall issue upon payment of the prescribed Crown grant fee.
If the purchaser fails to make any of the prescribed payments by due date the amount (if any) already paid shall be forfeited, and the contract for the sale be null and void.
Titles will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale by public auction, for cash or on deferred payments, at the Local Lands Office, Hamilton, at 11 o’clock a.m., on Wednesday, 9th March, 1927, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and amendments.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Otorohanga County.—Pirongia Survey District.
SECTIONS 12 and 14, Block VIII: Area, 79 acres 2 roods 15 perches. Upset price, £120.
Situated about five miles from Pirongia Township by formed road. The land is of a light loam resting on light clay subsoil, growing fern, scrub, and patches of blackberry and ragwort. The major portion of the sections is easily ploughable, and will grow good pasture when properly treated. Bounded on western side by Waipa River Reserve.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders for the purchase of the undermentioned milling-timber will close at the office of the State Forest Service, Palmerston North, at 4 o’clock p.m., on Friday, the 25th February, 1927.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.—WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
Lot 2.—All the milling-timber on that area, containing approximately 394 acres, known as Lot 2, situated in Block VIII, Manganui Survey District (Provisional State Forest No. 67), about two miles from Erua Railway-station. The total estimated quantity in cubic feet is 843,193, or in board feet, 5,634,838, made us as follows:—

Further blocks of residual tributary timber in the provisional State forest mentioned will be selected at appropriate times and offered for sale by public auction as occasion warrants.
Terms of Payment.
For either lot a marked cheque for one-twelfth of the price tendered, together with half-year’s ground rent and £1 1s. license fee, must accompany the tender, and the balance be paid by sixteen equal quarterly instalments, the first of which shall be paid nine months after the date of sale.
In addition, the successful tenderer shall continue to pay such ground rent half-yearly in advance during the currency of the lease.
Terms of Sale.

All instalment-payments shall be secured by “on demand” promissory notes made and endorsed to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of State Forests, and interest at the rate of 1 per cent. per annum in excess of current bank overdraft rates will be charged on all notes overdue from the date of maturity to the date of payment.

The right to cut and remove the timber will be sold in accordance with the provisions of the Forests Act, 1921-22, the regulations in force thereunder, and these conditions.

The attention of all tenderers is drawn to the fact that the local controlling body may require the successful tenderer to pay any claims or charges which may be made by that body for the maintenance of the road over which the timber may be transported, and before a sawmill license is issued a letter indicating that satisfactory arrangements have been made in this connection must be produced to the undersigned.

The above-mentioned quantities, qualities, and kinds as to the said timber shall be taken as sufficiently accurate for the purposes of this sale, and no contract for the purchase shall be voidable, nor shall the successful purchaser be entitled to any abatement in price, by reason of the said
