or the term of years of the loan was or was not specified or
determined, and such money or any part thereof has not
been borrowed, the local authority or public body may, with
the precedent consent of the Minister of Finance, borrow such
money, or such amount thereof as has not been borrowed, at
such rate of interest, or for such term, as may be prescribed
by the Governor-General by Order in Council :

And whereas the Waitemata County Council has been
authorized to borrow the sum of two thousand six hundred
and sixty pounds for restoring roads and bridges damaged
by floods :

And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent
consent as required by the above-recited section one hundred
and fourteen, and it is desired that the rate of interest at
which the money may be borrowed be not exceeding six per
centum per annum :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority vested in him as aforesaid, and acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the rate of
interest that may be paid by the Waitemata County Council
in respect of the said sum of two thousand six hundred and
sixty pounds shall be a rate not exceeding six per centum per
annum, and the said Waitemata County Council is hereby
authorized to borrow the said sum of two thousand six hun-
dred and sixty pounds accordingly.

The North-eastern Side of Portion of Chaytor Street, in the City
of Wellington, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117
of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to
the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of
September, 1927.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following
resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the
eighteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-seven, the portion of street affected by such resolution
being more particularly described in the Schedule hereto,
viz. :

“ The Wellington City Council, being the local authority
having control of the streets in the City of Wellington,
hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred
and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply
to the north-eastern side of all that portion of Chaytor
Street, formerly called Main Karori Road, beginning at the
junction with the right-of-way or drainage reserve called
Paisley Terrace, being part Lot 15 on D.P. 2070, and extend-
ing generally in a south-easterly direction for a distance of
approximately 209·39 links, being the part of Chaytor Street
fronting part Lot 15, D.P. 1280, part Section 32, Karori
Registration District, Block VI, Port Nicholson Survey
District ” ;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the north-
eastern side of the portion of Chaytor Street (described in
the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet
from the centre-line of the said portion of street.


SCHEDULE.

THE north-eastern side of all that portion of street situated in
the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as
Chaytor Street, fronting part Lot 15, D.P. 1280, being part
Section 32, Karori R.D., Block VI, Port Nicholson Survey
District. As the said portion of street is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 69442, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the
Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Export of Dairy-produce from New Zealand prohibited, save in
accordance with License to be issued by the Minister of
Agriculture.—Notice No. C 50.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of
September, 1927.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, pursuant to section thirteen of the Dairy-
produce Export Control Act, 1923, the New Zealand
Dairy-produce Control Board has determined that it is
necessary for the effective operation of the said Act and the
fulfilment of its purposes that the Board should exercise a
limited control over the export of dairy-produce from New
Zealand, and has duly given notice in the Gazette on the
eighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-seven, at page 2855, of its intention to exercise such
control as from midnight on the thirtieth day of September,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and has
desired that the export from New Zealand of dairy-produce
should, for the purposes of such control, be prohibited save
in accordance with a license to be issued by the Minister of
Agriculture, subject to such conditions and restrictions as
may be approved by the said Board :

And whereas by section twelve of the said Act it is
enacted that for the purposes therein set out the Governor-
General may, acting under the powers conferred upon him
by the Customs Act, 1913, and its amendments, prohibit the
export from New Zealand of any dairy-produce save in
accordance with a license to be issued by the Minister of
Agriculture, subject to such conditions and restrictions as
may be approved by the said Board :

And whereas it is deemed expedient that such export
should be prohibited accordingly :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred by the Dairy-produce Export Control Act, 1923,
the Customs Act, 1913, and its amendments, and of all other
powers enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, and being of opinion that the pro-
hibition of the export of butter and cheese is necessary in
the public interest, and for the purpose of enabling the New
Zealand Dairy-produce Control Board effectively to control
the export, sale, and distribution of New Zealand dairy-
produce to the extent set out in the aforesaid notice, doth
hereby prohibit the export from New Zealand of any dairy-
produce as from midnight on the thirtieth day of September,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, save in accord-
ance with a license to be issued by the Minister of Agriculture.

Land Agents Audit Regulations Amendment No. 1.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by section thirty-four of the Land
Agents Act, 1921–22, His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby make the following amending regula-
tions by way of amendment to the Land Agents Audit
Regulations, 1927 (hereinafter called “the principal regu-
lations”).


REGULATIONS.

(1) THESE regulations may be cited as the Land Agents
Audit Regulations Amendment No. 1, and shall be read
together with and form part of the Land Agents Audit Regu-
lations, 1927.

(2) Paragraph (h) of clause 3 of Regulation 4 of the
principal regulations is hereby amended by deleting the
words “1st day of October, 1927,” and substituting in lieu
thereof the words “1st day of April, 1928.”
