Boundaries of Borough of Green Island altered.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of September, 1927.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area should be included in the Borough of Green Island and excluded from the County of Taieri :
And whereas it is deemed expedient to make such alteration of boundaries of the said borough :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be included in the Borough of Green Island and excluded from the County of Taieri.

SCHEDULE.
AREA INCLUDED IN BOROUGH OF GREEN ISLAND.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District being parts of Lots 8, 9, and 10 on plan 3108, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Dunedin: Bounded on the north-west by Kaikorai Valley Road, a distance of 284·1 links; on the north-east by other part of Lots 8, 9, and 10 aforesaid, a distance of 1197·8 links; on the east by the City of Dunedin, a distance of 345·9 links; on the south-east by the Main South Road, a distance of 398·3 links; and on the south-west by the Borough of Green Island, a distance of 1402·3 links, to the commencing-point.

Consenting under the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, to the Taumarunui Fire Board borrowing £400 by Overdraft.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this 19th day of September, 1927.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Taumarunui Fire Board borrowing by overdraft, pursuant to section thirty-one of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, a sum not exceeding four hundred pounds, subject to the following conditions :—
- That the term for which the loan is borrowed shall not exceed five years :
- That the rate of interest payable in respect of the said loan shall not exceed current overdraft rates—at present seven per centum :
- That the local authority shall repay the said sum by equal annual instalments of eighty pounds each.

Consenting under the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, to the Raising of a Loan by the Lower Hutt Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of September, 1927.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the Lower Hutt Borough Council of the sum of six thousand pounds for providing the Council’s proportion of the cost of erecting a bridge, pursuant to a Warrant issued under section one hundred and nineteen of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to the following conditions :—
(1) The said sum may be borrowed for a term not exceeding thirty years :
(2) The Lower Hutt Borough Council shall, before borrowing the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment of the said sum by establishing a sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and by making to such sinking fund payments at intervals of not more than one year, at a rate which shall be not less than one and a half per centum, such payments to be made in respect of every part of the said sum for the time being so borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment to be made not later than one year after the first day from which interest to the lender is computed on any moneys so borrowed.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for street purposes, Thorndon Quay.
