In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and its amendments, and of MOTOR REPLACEMENTS, LIMITED, a company duly incorporated under the said Act, having its registered office situated at Gittos Street, Auckland, and carrying on business at Auckland as dealers in motor-cars.

FRIDAY, THE 26TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1927.
UPON reading the petition of ALBERT RICHARD ABBOTT, a creditor of the above-named company, filed on the 1st day of August, 1927, preferred unto a Judge of the Supreme Court, and upon hearing counsel for the petitioner, and upon reading the affidavit of Albert Richard Abbott, filed on the 1st day of August, 1927, the affidavit of Albert Richard Abbott, verifying the petition filed on the 2nd day of August, 1927, the affidavit of Douglas Campbell Purdie, sworn and filed herein the New Zealand Gazette of the 18th day of August, 1927, containing an advertisement of the said petition, the Auckland Star of the 16th day of August, 1927, and the New Zealand Herald of the 17th day of August, 1927, both containing an advertisement of the said petition, this Court doth order that Motor Replacements, Limited, be wound up by this Court under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, upon the grounds that it could not pay its debts, and that the Official Assignee in Bankruptcy under the Bankruptcy Act, 1908, of this district of this Court be the sole Liquidator under the style of "The Official Liquidator" of the said company, and that the said company do pay to the petitioner the sum of £11 12s. for costs and disbursements.

KAITUNA RIVER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES.
Kaituna River Improvement 6 per Cent., 1927, Loan of £4,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the River Boards Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Kaituna River District Act, 1926, and the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Kaituna River Board hereby resolves as follows:--
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of four thousand pounds (£4,000) authorized to be raised by the Kaituna River Board under the abovementioned Acts for re-establishing and safeguarding the old natural outlet of the Kaituna River under the protection of the Maketu Bluff and securing the Outfall Channel continuously in its re-opened course, and for lowering the level of the Kaituna River (the said loan being commonly known as "The Kaituna River Improvement 6 per cent., 1927, Loan of £4,000"), the said Kaituna River Board hereby makes and levies a special rate in respect of the lands lying within the special-rating area hereinafter described, and included in Category I of the Classification lists now subsisting, caused to be prepared by the said Board of the lands within the said special-rating area of sevenpence (7d.) per acre on lands classified as A, fivepence and one farthing (5½d.) per acre on lands classified as B, and threepence half-penny (3½d.) on lands classified as C, and also a special rate in respect of the lands lying within the said special-rating area and included in Category II of the said classification lists of eightpence (8d.) per acre on lands classified as A, sixpence (6d.) per acre on lands classified as B, and fourpence (4d.) per acre on lands classified as C, the said rates being upon the rateable area of all the rateable property in the said respective categories of the said special-rating area, and the said special-rating area comprising all the lands lying within the boundaries following that is to say:--
All that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in the Tauranga County, and bounded by a line as follows : Commencing at the north-west corner of Section 1, Block IV, Tumu Survey District ; thence along west boundary of Section 1 to north-east corner of Section 8, Block IV, Tumu Survey District ; thence along the north and west boundaries of Section 8 to the north-east corner of Lot 3 of Section 6, Block IV, Tumu Survey District ; thence along north and west boundaries of Lot 3 to its intersection with the north boundary of Papamoa No. 3A; thence along the north boundary of Papamoa No. 3A to its intersection with the east boundary of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway ; thence southwards along this railway boundary to the south-west corner of Lot 3 of Section 37, Block II, Maketu Survey District ; thence along the southern boundary of Lot 3 to its intersection with the western boundary of Section 53, Block II, Maketu Survey District ; thence along the western boundaries of Sections 53 and 54, Block II, Maketu Survey District, and the southern boundary of Section 54, Block II, Maketu Survey District, and its prolongation across public road to its intersection with the western boundary of Section 37A, Block II, Maketu ; thence along the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of Section 37A to a point of intersection on its eastern boundary with the prolongation across the public road of the northern boundary of Section 35, Block II, Maketu Survey District; thence along this prolongation across the road and the northern boundary of Section 35 to its intersection with the western boundary of Section 36, Block II, Maketu Survey District; thence southwards along the western boundary of Section 36 to its intersection with the northern boundary of Section 21, Block II, Maketu Survey District ; thence southwards along the western boundaries of Section 21, Block II, Maketu Survey District, to its intersection with the northern boundary of East Coast Main Trunk Railway ; thence eastwards along the northern boundary of the railway to its intersection with the boundary between the east and west portions of Section 21; thence southwards across the railway and along this boundary to its intersection with the northern boundary of Main Highway No. 15 ; thence eastwards along this boundary of the Main Highway to its intersection with the western boundary, prolonged across the Main Highway, of Rangiuru No. 2B No. 11; thence southwards across the Main Highway and along the western boundary of Rangiuru No. 2B No. 11 and No. 2B No. 10, and along the western and southern boundaries

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Unemployment Relief £1,400 Loan.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Hamilton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:--
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund on a loan not exceeding £1,400, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton Borough Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, to be expended on the work of--
(1) Cutting to permanent levels the footways on Ruakiwi Street from Ohaupo Road to Tainui Street--labour and cartage (not exceeding £500);
(2) Cutting down the knoll in Alma Street, removing trees, and constructing stone steps to the river path-- labour, the cost of materials, and cartage (not exceeding £400);
(3) Levelling up the gully in Rifle Range Road towards permanent level, and extending the culvert--labour, the cost of materials, and cartage (not exceeding £500) for the relief of unemployment;
the said Hamilton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one seventy-fifth of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the Borough of Hamilton, and that such special rate shall
