Classification of Roads in the Waiapu County.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Motor-lorry Regulations, 1927, I, Kenneth Stuart Williams, Minister of Public Works, do hereby approve of the Waiapu County Council’s proposed classification of roads, as set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
CLASSIFICATION OF ROADS IN THE WAIAPU COUNTY.
ROADS classified in the third class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 6 tons)—
All that portion of the Main Highway running from the boundary-line between the Uawa County and Waiapu County as far as the boundary between the Matakaoa County and the Waiapu County.

Notice of intention to take Land in Block III, Makotuku Survey District, for the purposes of a Road—viz., a Deviation of the Bull’s-Taumarunui Main Highway.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—viz., a deviation of the Bull’s-Taumarunui Main Highway, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office at Ohakune, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—HAURAKI GULF.—AUCKLAND HARBOUR.
(1) Construction of breakwater and exhibition of lights thereon;
(2) Removal of beacon.
(1) Position: St. Mary’s Bay.
Details: A breakwater is being constructed to form a boat harbour. When completed, the breakwater will begin at a point 287°·5, 3,600 ft. from the centre of the outer end of Prince’s Wharf, and trend 3,130 ft. on a 277° line tangent to a circle of 1,120 ft. radius, thence on the western arc of this circle to the reef at Pt. Erin. An opening, 240 ft. wide, has been left, beginning 1,420 ft. from eastern end.
Lights: Eastern end—2 fixed green lights vertically disposed 5 ft. apart—
Eastern side of opening: 1 fixed red light.
Western side of opening: 1 fixed green light.
Fixed lights for illumination exist along the breakwater approximately 400 ft. apart.
Remarks: The breakwater at the present time extends to about 400 ft. east of the opening, and should be completed in nine months. The lights are being exhibited as the work progresses.
(2) The beacon marking the end of the reef at Pt. Erin will be removed permanently on 15th September, 1927.
