Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street in the City of Dunedin
of a Width of less than 66 ft. but not less than 50 ft.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of
August, 1927.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the
Dunedin City Council to permit the laying-off of the street,
coloured red on the plan referred to in the Schedule hereto,
of a width less than sixty-six feet but not less than fifty feet,
within the area described in the Schedule hereto, it being
inexpedient to lay off a street of a width of sixty-six feet
within such area.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area of land in the Otago Land District, City of
Dunedin, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 0 roods
2·9 perches, being parts Sections 95 and 96, Block VI, Town
District. As the same is more particularly delineated on
the plan marked P.W.D. 69441, deposited in the office of
the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington
Land District, and thereon edged green.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of
August, 1927.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all
other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent
to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken
for the purposes of the development of electrical power.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be
taken: 4 acres.

Being portion of Section 9 (Education Reserve), Block II,
Makotuku Survey District. (S.O. 2123.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 67243,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
bordered pink.

Directing the Sale of Land under the Public Works Act, 1908,
in Block XII, Mangapakeha Survey District.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of
August, 1927.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1908,
His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto,
such land being no longer required for the public work for
which it was acquired.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold:
1 acre 1 rood 24·7 perches.

Being portion of Section 287, Block XII, Mangapakeha
Survey District (Whareama R.D.). (S.O. 2234.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more

Licensing James McSweeney, William Edward McSweeney,
and Joseph Gower Alexander to use and occupy a Part of
the Foreshore at Horeke, Hokianga River, as a Site for a
Jetty.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of
August, 1927.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, there being no Harbour Board empowered
to grant the license hereinafter mentioned, James
McSweeney, William Edward McSweeney, and Joseph Gower
Alexander, of Horeke, trading under the style or title of
Messrs. Alexander Bros. and McSweeney (who, with their
executors, administrators, and assigns, are hereinafter referred
to as “the licensees”), have applied to the Governor-General
in Council for a license under the Harbours Act, 1923
(hereinafter called “the said Act”), to occupy a part of the
foreshore below low-water mark at Horeke, in Hokianga
Harbour, as a site for a jetty, and, in accordance with the
one-hundred-and-seventy-first section of the said Act, have
deposited a plan in the office of the Marine Department at
Wellington (marked M.D. 6386), showing the place where it
is intended to construct such jetty, the area of foreshore and
land below low-water mark intended to be occupied for such
purpose, and the manner in which it is proposed to erect
the said jetty:

And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor-
General in Council that the proposed work will not be or tend
to the injury of navigation, and the said plan has, prior to the
making of this Order in Council, been approved by the
Governor-General in Council:

And whereas it is expedient that a license under the said
Act, for the purpose aforesaid, should be granted and issued
to the licensees on the terms and conditions hereinafter ex-
pressed:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and
of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that
behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
approve of the purpose or object for which the said license
is required by the licensees as aforesaid; and, in further
pursuance and exercise of the said power and authority, and
with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, doth hereby
license and permit the licensees to use and occupy that part
of the foreshore and land below low-water mark which is
particularly shown and delineated on the plan so deposited
as aforesaid, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty,
constructed in accordance with the said plan, such license to
be held and enjoyed by the licensees upon and subject to
the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
