A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the development of electrical power, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Raetihi, as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the tenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 4 acres. Being portion of Section 9 (Education reserve), Block II, Makotuku Survey District. (S.O. 2123.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 67243, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered pink.

Revoking a Proclamation taking Land for the Purposes of a Road in Block XIV, Pakawau Survey District, Collingwood County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the twelfth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 21 of the fourteenth day of the same month, taking land for the purposes of a road in Block XIV, Pakawau Survey District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of August, 1927.

Allocating Cost of certain Proceedings under Section 132 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, Borough of Featherston.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of August, 1927.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in him by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that the Featherston Borough Council shall defray all the costs of the Commission appointed under the said Act by a Warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General dated the sixteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, to inquire and report upon the proposal to exclude a certain area from the Borough of Featherston and to include such area in the County of Featherston.
