The New Electoral Districts for the North Island.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the North Island Representation Commission,
appointed under the provisions of the Legislature
Act, 1908, have made their report to me under their hands
and seals, setting forth the names and boundaries of the
electoral districts for the North Island, fixed by them in
accordance with the Legislature Act, 1908:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority vested in me by the twenty-second section of the
Legislature Act, 1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson,
Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim the names and boundaries of the electoral
districts for the North Island, so fixed by the said Com-
mission, to be those respectively mentioned and set out in the
Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

BAY OF ISLANDS.

This district is bounded towards the north-east generally
by the sea from the North Cape to the Ngunguru River;
then ce towards the south generally by the said Ngunguru
River and a public road intersecting the Kopipi, Tutaenui,
and Te Toiroa Blocks of Blocks IV and III, Whangarei Survey
District, to the northern boundary of the said Block IV;
then ce by the northern boundaries of the aforesaid Block IV,
Blocks III, II, and I of the said Whangarei Survey District,
to the north-eastern boundary of the south-eastern portion
of Section 50, Hikurangi Parish; then ce in a south-easterly
direction by the said north-eastern boundary of the south-
eastern portion of the said Section 50 and the north-eastern
boundary of the north-eastern portion of Section 67 of the
said Hikurangi Parish to the Maihorahia Stream; then ce by
that stream to its confluence with the Mangahahuru River
at the north-eastern boundary of Section 38 of the said
Block V, Purua Survey District; then ce by the said Mangaha-
huru River to its confluence with the Wairoa River on the
north-eastern boundary of the Kopuniaho Block in Block IV
of the said Purua Survey District; then ce in a south-westerly
direction by the said Wairoa River to its confluence with the
Mangakahia River; then ce towards the west generally by
the said Mangakahia River to the south-eastern corner of
Section 8, Block XV, Mangakahia Survey District; then ce
by the north-eastern boundary of the Maungaru Block to and
along the road forming the south-western boundaries of
Sections 11, 2, and 1, Block XV, Mangakahia Survey District;
then ce by the road forming the south-western boundaries of
Sections 11 and 10, Block X, of the said Mangakahia Survey
District; then ce by the southern boundaries of Sections 9
and 8A of the said Block X of the said Mangakahia Survey
District to the north-eastern boundary of Section 13, Te
Karaka Block; then ce along the north-eastern boundary of
the said Section 13, the north-eastern and north-western
boundaries of Section 12, the north-eastern and north-western
boundaries of Section 10, the north-eastern boundaries of
Sections 25 and 24, all of the said Te Karaka Block, to the
north-western boundary of the aforesaid Te Karaka Block;
then ce in a south-westerly direction by the said north-western
boundary to a point in line with the northern boundary of
Section 10, Block XII, Tutamoe Survey District; then ce by
a right line to and along the said northern boundary of the
said Section 10, the northern boundary of Section 14, the
northern and western boundaries of Section 9, all of Block XII,
Tutamoe Survey District; then ce along the north-eastern
boundaries of Sections 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14, Block XI,
Tutamoe Survey District, to and across the Opouteke River
and Road, to and along the eastern boundaries of Blocks X,
VI, and II of the said Tutamoe Survey District, to the Manga-
kahia River; then ce by that river to and along the northern
boundary of Block I of the aforesaid Tutamoe Survey District,
to and along the northern and western boundaries of Block
IV, Waipoua Survey District, to and along the western
boundary of Block VIII of the said Waipoua Survey District
