Appointments, Promotions, Resignations, and Transfers of Officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.
STAFF.
Captain R. J. D. Davis, N.Z. Staff Corps, having returned to the Dominion on completion of a course of instruction in the United Kingdom, ceases to be seconded, and is appointed Chief Instructor, Small-arms School, Trentham. Dated 19th July, 1927.
Captain R. S. Park, The Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery, having returned to the Dominion on completion of a course of instruction in the United Kingdom, ceases to be seconded, and is detailed for duty with the Central Coast Artillery Group, Wellington. Dated 18th July, 1927.
6TH N.Z. MOUNTED RIFLES (MANAWATU).
The seniority of Lieutenant S. H. Lodge is antedated to 7th May, 1926.
THE REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Northern Command.
Bandmaster and Honorary Lieutenant J. T. Lighton is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class II (b), R.D. 1. Dated 18th March, 1927.
Eustace Tregilgas to be Bandmaster, with the honorary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 23rd July, 1927.
THE AUCKLAND REGIMENT (COUNTESS OF RANFURLY’S OWN).
Lieutenant I. S. McHarg, from the Hawke’s Bay Regiment, to be Lieutenant, with seniority as from the 16th June, 1926, and is seconded for duty with the 1st C Battalion. Dated 26th July, 1927.
THE WAIKATO REGIMENT.
Captain R. F. Ward, 1st Battalion, to be Major. Dated 21st July, 1927.
Lieutenant H. Keeley, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b) R.D. 4. Dated 28th July, 1927.
THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT.
Captain E. F. J. Reeves, M.C., 1st Battalion, to be Major. Dated 21st June, 1927.
THE HAWKE’S BAY REGIMENT.
Lieutenant I. S. McHarg, 3rd C Battalion, is transferred to the Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own). Dated 26th July, 1927.
THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.
2nd Lieutenant E. McC. Rule, 4th C Battalion, to be Lieutenant. Dated 1st July, 1927.
Charles William Kibblewhite to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), and is seconded for duty with the 2nd C Battalion. Dated 22nd July, 1927.

THE NELSON, MARLBOROUGH, AND WEST COAST REGIMENT.

THE SOUTHLAND REGIMENT.
2nd Lieutenant (on probation) C. C. Werry, from the Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), with seniority as from the 5th April, 1927, and is seconded for duty with the 2nd C Battalion. Dated 25th July, 1927.
N.Z. AIR FORCE.
2nd Lieutenant W. B. Gillespie is seconded for duty with the 1st C Battalion; the Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own). Dated 8th July, 1927.
RESERVE OF OFFICERS.
Wellington Regiment.
Lieutenant D. H. Hopkirk is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 26th July, 1927.

Bruce Defence Rifle Club, with headquarters at Milton.
Sounds Defence Rifle Club, with headquarters at Mana-roa, Marlborough.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-order and Transmission of Postal Correspondence in New Zealand for the St. Francis Xavier’s New Church Building Fund Art Union, Arncliffe, New South Wales.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having reasonable ground for supposing that the persons and organization whose names and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of either of the said persons or of the said organization shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to either of the said persons or of the said organization (either by his or its own or any fictitious or assumed name), or addressed to any of the addresses in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.
