Major T. H. Dawson, C.M.G., C.B.E., from the Reserve of Officers, to be Major. Dated 23rd June, 1927.
Lieutenant H. McD. Scott, from the Canterbury Regiment, to be Lieutenant, with seniority as from the 19th December, 1925, and is seconded for duty with the 3rd C Battalion. Dated 8th July, 1927.
Lieutenant W. R. Ross, from the Otago Regiment, to be Lieutenant, 1st Battalion, with seniority as from the 23rd December, 1926. Dated 8th July, 1927.

Lieutenant G. S. Kirker, 1st Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 11th July, 1927.
2nd Lieutenant P. A. Hickling, from the Hawke's Bay Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant, with seniority as from the 15th September, 1926, and is seconded for duty with the 4th C Battalion. Dated 7th July, 1927.
2nd Lieutenant L. Shotlander ceases to be seconded to the 3rd C Battalion, and is seconded for duty with the 4th C Battalion, with his original seniority. Dated 11th July, 1927.

Reorganization of Cadet Battalions.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve, under section 6 (a), Defence Act, 1909, that the existing designations on the 1st and 2nd Cadet Battalions, the Wellington West Coast Regiment, be abolished, and that such Cadet Battalions be reorganized into four Cadet Battalions to be designated as under :-
The Wellington West Coast Regiment.
1st Cadet Battalion, with headquarters at Wanganui.
2nd Cadet Battalion, with headquarters at Wanganui.
3rd Cadet Battalion, with headquarters at Palmerston North.
4th Cadet Battalion, with headquarters at Palmerston North.

Classification of Roads in the Waitotara County.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Motor-lorry Regulations, 1927, I, Kenneth Stuart Williams, Minister of Public Works, do hereby approve of the Waitotara County Council’s proposed classification of roads as set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
CLASSIFICATION OF ROADS IN THE WAITOTARA COUNTY.
Roads classified in the fifth class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 24 tons)-
Watt Road. Mission Road (Westmere).
Livingstone Road. Upper Pakaraka Road.
Lilybank Road. Sewell Road.
Campbell Road. Waitotara Valley Road.
Tokomaru East Road.
