The Northern and Eastern Sides of Portion of Cecil Road (formerly Wade Crescent), Wadestown, in the City of Wellington, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of July, 1927.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the sixteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, the portion of street affected by such resolution being more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, viz. :—

"The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to all that portion of the northern and eastern sides of Wade Crescent now called Cecil Road, beginning at a point 74·8 links from its intersection with the Wadestown Road, formerly called Main Wadestown Road, and extending for a distance of 187·55 links, being the part of road fronting Lot 2, D.P. 812, part Section 1, Harbour District, Block VI, Port Nicholson Survey District";

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the northern and eastern sides of the portion of Cecil Road (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of twenty-five feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

THE northern and eastern sides of all that portion of street in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Cecil Road, adjoining Lot 2, D.P. 812, part Section 1, Harbour R.D., Block VI, Port Nicholson Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 69498, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

The Western Side of Portion of Fife Street, in the City of Wanganui, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wanganui City Council on the seventeenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, the portion of street affected by such resolution being more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, viz. :—

"That the Wanganui City Council, having control of the street known as Fife Street, hereby resolves that section one hundred and seventeen, subsection one, of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of Fife Street, fronting Lots 2 and 3, part of Section 43, a distance of 200·82 links";

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western side of the portion of Fife Street (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

THE western side of all that portion of street situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wanganui, known as Fife Street, adjoining Lots 74 and parts 32, Deeds Plan 41, being part Section 43, left bank Wanganui River, being the land described in certificates of title, Vol. 335, folios 273 and 274. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 69232, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged blue.

Amending Regulations as to Ships being provided with Wireless-telegraph Installations.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of July, 1927.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 49 of the following day, regulations were made as to ships being provided with wireless-telegraph installations :

And whereas it is desirable to amend the said regulations in the manner hereinafter described :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section two of the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1924, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the hereinbefore-recited regulations by deleting clause (c) of subsection one of Regulation two, and by substituting the following clause therefor :—

"(c) Carry more than nineteen persons" :

And His Excellency the Governor-General doth hereby order and declare that this Order in Council shall have force and effect on and from the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven.

License authorizing the Hastings Borough Council to erect Electric Lines within the Borough of Hastings.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of July, 1927.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the licenses dated the seventeenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, the thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, the seventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and the seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, authorizing the Hastings Borough Council to erect electric lines within and beyond the Borough of Hastings and along St. George’s Road, Hawke’s Bay County, and doth—subject to the conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto, and to the regulations made under section two of the aforesaid Act, and dated the eleventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twelfth day of the same month, or any regulations hereinafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor (and hereinafter collectively referred to as “the regulations”), and which regulations shall be deemed to be incorporated
