  1. Masterton - Te Wharau :-
    (a) Masterton, via Gladstone and East Coast Roads to
    Te Wharau (private-bag delivery), thrice weekly.
    (b) Te Wharau and Lands End (rural delivery), twice
    weekly.

  2. (a) Masterton and Tinui, daily.
    (b) Tinui, Whakataki, and Castlepoint, thrice weekly.
    (Alternative to No. 44.)

  3. Masterton, Tinui, Whakataki, and Castlepoint, daily.
    (Alternative to No. 43.)

  4. Masterton-Westmere : Masterton, Te Weraiti, Westmere,
    and Poroporo Roads (rural delivery), twice weekly.

  5. Mauriceville-Ihuraua: Mauriceville via Main and Central
    Mangamahoe Roads to Ihuraua, and return via Barton's,
    Dreyer's Rock, and Main Roads to Mauriceville (rural
    delivery), thrice weekly. (Alternative to No. 47.)

  6. Mauriceville-Ihuraua-Mangamahoe :-
    (a) Mauriceville via Main-Dreyer's Rock and Barton's
    Roads to Ihuraua, along Central Mangamahoe
    Road to Mangamahoe, and via Smith's Line to
    Hastwells, thence along North Road via Maurice-
    ville West and West Road to corner of Jackson's
    Road and back to Mauriceville West, thence
    along South Road to Mauriceville (rural de-
    livery), thrice weekly.
    (b) Mauriceville along Main Road to Mangamahoe, and
    via Smith's Line to Hastwells, thence along
    North Road via Mauriceville West and West
    Road to corner of Jackson's Road, and back to
    Mauriceville West, thence along south Road to
    Mauriceville (rural delivery), thrice weekly on
    alternative days to (a).

  7. Mauriceville and Mauriceville West, daily. (Alternative

  8. Otaki Railway-station and Post-office, as required.

  11. Petone Railway-station and Post-office, as required.

  12. Te Horo-Waihoanga : Te Horo, Hautere Cross, and
    Waihoanga (rural delivery), thrice weekly.

  13. Tinui-Annedale : Tinui, Manawa, and Annedale (rural
    delivery), twice weekly.

  14. Tiraumea and Waihoki Valley (private-bag delivery),
    thrice weekly.

  15. Upper Hutt - Whiteman's Valley : Upper Hutt along
    Wallaceville Road to Whiteman's Valley (rural delivery)
    thrice weekly.

Forms of tender may be procured at any post-office.
The attention of tenderers is directed to the terms and
conditions of contract printed at the back of the tender forms.
Tenderers may tender for a service to commence from
either terminal.
The successful tenderer will be required to show that he is
in a position to satisfactorily carry out the service.
No tender will be considered unless made on the printed
form.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
Contractors are not required to convey parcel-post parcels
(except express transit parcels) to offices served by rail or sea,
except where the frequency of the rail or sea service is less
than weekly.
Wherever possible, Government officers travelling on
official business, are required to travel by mail contractors'
vehicles, provided the fare charged by the contractor does
not exceed that charged by the proprietor of an opposition
vehicle.
Contractors, when receiving or delivering mails at railway
stations, are to deal with the guards of trains, and, if
required, mails are to be placed in the railway-vans.
Tenders are to be enclosed in sealed envelopes, endorsed
"Tenders for Mail-service," and are to be addressed to the
Chief Postmaster of the postal district to which the tender
may specially refer.
