1908, and amendments, have been complied with, excepting
section 20 of the principal Act and section 44 of the Finance

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR THE PURPOSES OF
A Road.
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,
and the Public Works Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitara Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Acts, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction
of a road in Section 10, Block I, Waitara Survey District
—and for the purposes of such public work proposes to take
all those pieces of land in the Borough of Waitara being—
Firstly, 1-4 perches, more or less, being part of the Native
Land Court Subdivision known as Manukorihi A 1, being
part of the said Section 10 of Block I, Waitara Survey
District:
Secondly, 2-9 perches more or less being part of the Native
Land Court Subdivision known as Manukorihi A 2, being
part of the said Section 10 of Block I, Waitara Survey
District.
Plans of the land required to be taken as aforesaid, and
showing the portion firstly above described coloured in blue,
and the portion secondly above described coloured in red,
are deposited for public inspection at the offices of the Waitara Borough Council and of Messrs. Stead and Prichard,
Solicitors, Waitara.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth
in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of the
said land, and to send such writing within forty days of the
first publication of this notice to the Waitara Borough Council, at its office in Queen Street, in the Town of Waitara.

NOTICE is hereby given that, on the 1st day of July,
1927, the shareholders of Lou Symons, LIMITED, a
private company registered under Part V of the Act, passed
the following special resolution :—
“That owing to the company having given up trading, it
is advisable that the company go into voluntary liquidation,
and accordingly that same be wound up, and, that ALFRED
LAMBERT PIKE, Public Accountant, of Auckland, be and he
is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such
winding-up.”

for street purposes, Hutt road, in the City of Wellington—
and for the purposes of such public work the lands described
in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice
is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to
be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk
to the said Council, in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the
said city, and is there open for inspection without fee by all
persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons
affected by the execution of the said public work or the
taking of such lands should, if they have well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to
the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing,
and send such writing within forty days from the first publication
of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed
to the Town Clerk at his said office.

meeting of shareholders held on the 30th day of June,
1927, the following extraordinary resolution was passed :—

that it cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business,
and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that the
company be wound up voluntarily, and that HAROLD EATON
GOODWIN, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby
appointed Liquidator for that purpose.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of
the above-named company, duly convened and held at

the 14th day of June, 1927, the following extraordinary
resolution was duly passed :—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the shareholders that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities,
continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up
the same, and that the same be wound up accordingly.”
And at the same meeting ROBERT ARTHUR SPINLEY, of
Auckland, Public Accountant, was appointed Liquidator for
the purpose of such winding-up.
