Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in the County of Woodville, at Papatawa.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Woodville County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land: 18·1 perches and 10·3 perches.

Portions of railway reserve, Block VII, Woodville Survey District, Woodville County. (S.O. 879, green.)

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 39217, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of July, 1927.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Whangarei-Kamo Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Whangarei Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 33·5 perches. Portion of Railway Reserve (Raumanga No. 1 Block), Block IX, Whangarei Survey District, Whangarei Borough. (S.O. 23927, blue).

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 39088, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of July, 1927.
