ALTERNATIVE tenders will be received at the office
of the Registrar of Motor-Vehicles up to noon on
Wednesday, the 27th July, for the manufacture of motor-
registration plates for one, three, and five years.

Conditions and specifications may be seen at any chief
post-office.

Tenders to be addressed to the Registrar of Motor-Vehicles,
General Post Office, Wellington, the envelopes to be marked
"Tender for the Manufacture of Motor-registration Plates."

received up to 3 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, the
10th August, 1927, for the lease of the undermentioned lands,
under the provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains
Act, 1908, and amendments.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 69, Village of Aratapu: Area, 2 roods. Upset
annual rental, £2.

Section is situated at Aratapu, on main Aratapu-Dargaville
road. All level land; nearly all in paspalum grass. There
are about seven chains of paling fencing, in fair order.

Sections 88 and 89, Village of Aratapu: Area, 2 acres.
Upset annual rental, £5.

Sections are situated at Aratapu on by-road of main Ara-
tapu-Dargaville road. Land level, in good paspalum; about
eleven chains fencing, section being ring-fenced.

Both lots suitable for grazing.

Abstract of Terms and Conditions.

1. The lease shall be for a term of seven years, but the
   lessor shall have the right, in the event of the land being
   required for any purpose, to determine the lease at any
   time on giving the lessee three months' notice in writing of his
   intention in that behalf.

2. The lessee shall pay the rental in half-yearly instalments,
   each in advance, the first payment to accompany the tender.

3. The lessee shall not sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose
   of his interest in the lease without the written consent of the
   Commissioner of Crown Lands.

4. The lessee shall discharge all rates, taxes, charges, and
   other assessments that may become due and payable in
   respect of the demised land.

5. The lessee shall keep the land free from all noxious weeds
   and from rabbits, to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of
   Crown Lands.

6. No compensation shall be given, nor shall any be claimed,
   for any improvements effected by the lessee during the currency
   of the lease; but the lessee may, on the expiration or sooner
